THE WISDOM OF THE JUST

04/18/2024

"He will also go before Him in the spirit and power of Elijah, ‘to turn the hearts of the fathers to the children,’ and the disobedient to the wisdom of the just, to make ready a people prepared for the Lord” (Luke 1:17).

When you got born again, a new principle accompanied the new life that you received from the Lord. This principle is responsible for your ability to believe the things of God and work out your own salvation on earth.

This principle is what the Bible refers to as the wisdom of the just. The wisdom of the just operates in your life to guarantee that you are ever fruitful and productive no matter the circumstances of your life.

Now, before we get acquainted with the wisdom of the just, it is imperative to understand that a contrary principle functions in those who are not saved, and it operates in their lives to keep them unpersuadable and blinded to the things of God. Ephesians 2:1-2 says, "And you He made alive, who were dead in trespasses and sins, in which you once walked according to the course of this world, according to the prince of the power of the air, the spirit who now works in the sons of disobedience."

This contrary principle, the Bible describes as the "course of this world" and then, it refers to a spirit, the prince of the power of the air, as the sponsor of the course of this world in the unsaved. Hear me, the unsaved aren't just unsaved because they want to be in that state. They have no choice until the gospel, which is the power of God unto salvation, gets to them, which is why we preach the gospel.

In the same light, there is a course or principle for the just and this course or principle is operational by speaking words. Romans 10:10 says "For with the heart one believes unto righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation."

Remember that we define wisdom as God's ability in a person to produce tangible outcomes, goods, and services with knowledge and that without tangible outcomes, goods, or services, even though a person may have knowledge and understanding about certain things, wisdom is absent. Luke 7:35 tells us that "...wisdom is justified by all her children.”

That said, the wisdom of the just are wholesome words that produce life. Proverbs 15:4 says, "A wholesome tongue is a tree of life, But perverseness in it breaks the spirit." They are confessions of God's word to bring contrary situations into alignment.

Make no mistakes about it, you were designed to tame adversity. 2 Corinthians 4:10-11 describes us as "always carrying about in the body the dying of the Lord Jesus, that the life of Jesus also may be manifested in our body. For we who live are always delivered to death for Jesus’ sake, that the life of Jesus also may be manifested in our mortal flesh."

Hear me, don't back down in the midst of any crisis. Rather, keep speaking what God has said about that issue with unwavering conviction because the "course of this world" that produced the crisis is duty-bound to conform to the wisdom of the just.

If you don't know what God has said about the situation or season you are in, search the scriptures or reach out to your pastor or life-group leader for guidance. It is imperative that you are releasing the wisdom of the just to stay your course in Christ Jesus.

Have a great day!

Faith-Filled Confession

Contrary circumstances excite me because by the wisdom of the just that God put in me when I got born-again, I rule and reign. The words that I speak about the challenges I face are the words of the Sovereign of the universe, Jesus Christ. Therefore, every adversity falls into alignment, now. In the mighty name of Jesus. Hallelujah!
