THE WAY OF THE KINGDOM

3/12/2026

“The greatest among you will be your servant. For those who exalt themselves will be humbled, and those who humble themselves will be exalted.” — Matthew 23:11–12

Jesus often challenged the way people thought about greatness. In His time, many religious leaders desired recognition, honor, and public praise. They wanted to be seen and admired by others. But Jesus made it clear that the values of God’s Kingdom are very different from the values of the world.

According to Jesus, the greatest person is not the one who seeks attention or elevates themselves, but the one who humbly serves others. True greatness is expressed through humility, compassion, and a willingness to serve.

Jesus also gave a powerful principle: those who exalt themselves will be humbled, but those who humble themselves will be exalted. This means that promotion in God’s Kingdom does not come from self-promotion—it comes from God. When we choose humility and faithfully serve others, God Himself lifts us up in His perfect time.

Serving others requires a heart that is surrendered to God. It means placing His will above personal ambition and reflecting Christ’s love through our actions. Even when our service is unseen by others, it is never unseen by God.

Today, choose the path of humility. Serve others with a sincere heart, knowing that God honors those who walk in humility.

Faith-Filled Confession:

I walk in humility and serve others with love. I do not seek to exalt myself, but I trust God to lift me up in His time. My life reflects the character of Christ, and through my service God is glorified. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
