IF YOU LOVE ME, KEEP MY WORDS

"Jesus answered and said to him, 'If anyone loves Me, he will keep My word; and My Father will love him, and We will come to him and make Our home with him.'" — John 14:23

Love for Jesus is not measured by the songs we sing or the words we speak—it is revealed by our obedience to His Word. Anyone can say, "I love the Lord," but genuine love is demonstrated by a life that treasures and obeys what He has spoken.

Jesus did not say, "If you love Me, you will have perfect feelings." He said, "If you love Me, keep My words."

Obedience is the language of love.

When we do God's Word, we are saying, "Lord, I trust You more than my emotions. I value Your wisdom above my own understanding. I choose Your will over my own desires."

In a generation that often values feelings over truth, Jesus calls us back to the authority of His Word. His commands are not burdensome—they are life-giving. Every instruction He gives is for our protection, our growth, and our blessing.

Keeping His Word means forgiving when it is difficult, loving those who oppose us, walking in humility, speaking the truth in love, living with integrity, and remaining faithful even when no one is watching.

Obedience is not about earning God's love; it is the fruit of having received His love. We don't obey to become His children—we obey because we are His children.

Child of God, don't merely admire the Bible—live it. Let the Word shape your thoughts, guide your decisions, govern your speech, and direct your steps. The more you do His Word, the more your life reflects the character of Christ.

Today, make this your prayer: "Lord, help me not only to hear Your Word but to do it."

If you truly love Jesus, let your obedience speak louder than your words.

Faith-Filled Confession

I love the Lord with all my heart, and I delight in obeying His Word. His commands are life to me, and His truth directs every step I take. I choose faith over fear, forgiveness over offense, humility over pride, and obedience over compromise. The Holy Spirit empowers me to live a life that pleases God. My life is a reflection of Christ, and I will keep His Word with joy. In Jesus' mighty name, Amen.
