"Therefore whoever confesses Me before men, him I will also confess before My Father who is in heaven." — Matthew 10:32
Â
Jesus never intended for our faith to remain private. He calls us to boldly identify with Him in our words, our character, and our lifestyle. To confess Jesus before men means more than saying, "I'm a Christian." It means living unashamed of the Gospel and allowing your life to point others to Him.
In a world that often pressures believers to remain silent, Jesus calls us to stand boldly for the truth. We are not to hide our faith out of fear of rejection, criticism, or persecution. The One who died publicly for us deserves to be acknowledged publicly by us.
Confessing Christ is not only done from a pulpit. It happens in everyday conversations, through acts of kindness, words of encouragement, and a lifestyle that reflects His love. Sometimes the greatest sermon people will ever hear is the life you live.
The early disciples were threatened, imprisoned, and persecuted for preaching the name of Jesus. Yet they prayed for greater boldness, not greater comfort. They understood that there is no greater message than the Gospel, for it is "the power of God unto salvation to everyone who believes"(Romans 1:16).
Child of God, never be ashamed of the One who saved you. Speak of His goodness. Share your testimony. Tell others what He has done in your life. Invite someone to know Him. Every opportunity to confess Christ is an opportunity for someone to encounter His saving grace.
You never know whose eternity may be changed because you chose to speak the name of Jesus.
Today, let your words, your worship, and your witness declare that Jesus Christ is Lord.
Faith-Filled Confession
I boldly confess that Jesus Christ is Lord of my life. I am not ashamed of the Gospel, for it is the power of God unto salvation. The Holy Spirit gives me wisdom, love, and boldness to share Christ wherever I go. My life reflects His character, my words declare His truth, and my actions reveal His love. Through me, many will come to know Jesus as Lord and Savior. I will faithfully confess Him before men, and my life will bring glory to His name. In Jesus' mighty name, Amen.
