HOW TO KEEP YOUR FAITH UNADULTERATED

"I remember your sincere and unqualified faith [the surrendering of your entire self to God in Christ with confident trust in His power, wisdom and goodness, a faith] which first lived in [the heart of] your grandmother Lois and your mother Eunice, and I am confident that it is in you as well." (2 Timothy 1:5)
There is an unadulterated faith in Jesus Christ that is fueled by prayer. You may study your Bible and sing worship songs every so often but nothing impacts your relationship with the Lord like prayer. Prayer, particularly praying in the spirit, is intercourse with God. It is time spent to have God rub off on you and you on God, such that your life is full of power, insight, wisdom and transgenerational impact.
Understand that there is a daily prayer quota that you must put in to keep your faith in God unadulterated. This is the spiritual temperature that you must be at to live how God expects you to live. This daily prayer quota is different for every one of us but it is a reality all the same.
For certain people, an hour in tongues, daily, is sufficient to carry them throughout their lives. For others, based on where they are in their walk with the Lord, they may be required to increase the time spent in prayer from time to time such that they might have started by praying for an hour in their private prayer devotion but now the Lord desires an increase in prayer times to maybe, two or three or even five hours, every day.
One of the ways to decipher that your prayer time quota needs a top-up is in the recurring manifestation of former temptations and demonic seductions that you used to grapple with. The enemy's chief aim is to have you return to your vomit. 1 Samuel 5:3 says, "And when the people of Ashdod arose early in the morning, there was Dagon, fallen on its face to the earth before the ark of the LORD. So they took Dagon and set it in its place again."
The moment you start to see former temptations, patterns or seductions recur, allow God to lead you into spending more time in prayer. If you were spending an hour a day, spend another or even more time, as the Spirit of God leads you.
"And when they arose early the next morning, there was Dagon, fallen on its face to the ground before the ark of the LORD. The head of Dagon and both the palms of its hands were broken off on the threshold; only Dagon’s torso was left of it" (1 Samuel 5:4). Let every resurgence be met by you operating at a much higher altitude in the spirit.
Jesus left us without ambiguity as to how to deal with the temptations and seductions of the enemy and it was praying for long periods. "Then He came to the disciples and found them sleeping, and said to Peter, “What! Could you not watch with Me one hour? Watch and pray, lest you enter into temptation. The spirit indeed is willing, but the flesh is weak.” (Matthew 26:40-41).
There is a call to be sensitive about prayer and to put in your own daily prayer time quota such that your walk with the Lord is incorruptible and your faith remains unadulterated.
God bless you.
Faith-Filled Confession
I am sensitive to the amount of time the Lord would have me spend with Him daily and I gladly devote myself to this schedule in Jesus' name. Amen
