WHY ATTEND CHURCH?

07/27/2024

“…but if I am delayed, I write so that you may know how you ought to conduct yourself in the house of God, which is the church of the living God, the pillar and ground of the truth.” (1 Timothy 3:15, NKJV)

Many people don’t realize it, but God sets appointments with His own at specific places. In Matthew 28:5-7, an angel arranged an appointment on the Lord’s behalf with the disciples in Galilee. The angel said to the women, “Do not be afraid, for I know that you seek Jesus who was crucified. He is not here; for He is risen, as He said. Come, see the place where the Lord lay. And go quickly and tell His disciples that He is risen from the dead, and indeed He is going before you into Galilee; there you will see Him. Behold, I have told you.” If the disciples had gone to Damascus or Tiberias, they would have missed their appointment.

Similarly, many believers miss out when they skip attending church.

A bona fide church meeting must include worship, the ministry of the Word, and fellowship among believers, offering enormous benefits. However, taking advantage of church meetings requires specific responsibilities. One crucial responsibility is to pray in tongues deliberately and accurately, seeking God’s will, provision, and strategy for your situation.

For instance, if you have been applying for jobs without receiving interview invitations, begin to pray in tongues concerning the matter. Seek God’s will, as He may want you to start a business instead. Seek His provision, asking for guidance on the exact place to apply or the resources needed for a business. Seek His strategy, looking for specific details on how to execute His will. Pray before the meeting and arrive at church early to continue praying before the service begins. Remember, the time before the service is not for socializing but for pressing in the Spirit.

David said, “I was glad when they said to me, ‘Let us go into the house of the LORD’” (Psalm 122:1, NKJV). His gladness stemmed from the knowledge that “thrones are set there for judgment, the thrones of the house of David” (Psalm 122:5, NKJV). This symbolizes that the answer you need in certain situations will come to you from God’s set throne during that meeting.

The Christian life is not hard. Many struggle because their eyes are veiled from the answers they need. God can compress the accomplishments of ten years into ten days if you dispose yourself to His judgments.

As you prepare for church, speak in tongues lavishly. When God’s judgments emanate from any aspect of the service, you will recognize His perfect will, provision, and strategy for the matters you face.

Have a great day.

Faith-Filled Confession

I am sensitive to the power and purpose of attending church. I recognize that I can secure judgments from the throne of God that will speed up and expand my divine destiny in Christ, so that kings come to my light and multitudes are impacted by my life. In Jesus’ name. Amen.
