WHAT YOU SAY

“The words you say will either acquit you or condemn you.” (Matthew 12:37)
Jesus said: “The words you say will either acquit you or condemn you.” You cannot consistently speak defeat and expect to live in victory. If someone desires marriage but constantly declares, “It will never happen for me,” those words are not harmless—they are formative. What may seem socially acceptable can be spiritually destructive. Words go before you to shape your experience.
If you pause long enough to listen to yourself, you may discover why certain patterns persist. Many people casually declare, “I’m confused,” “Nothing ever works for me,” or “My life is a mess,” and dismiss it as emotion or exhaustion. But words matter. They reveal what you believe and reinforce what you expect.
Child of God, your circumstances do not define you. And things only worsen when rebellious words—words that ignore the finished work of Christ—flow freely from your mouth. Statements like, “My life is over,” or “I’m stuck,” or “I’ll never recover,” contradict who you are in Him. If you find yourself in a valley, do not camp there—prophesy life into it. Like Ezekiel before the dry bones, speak what God has said.
You are not to be pitied. You are anointed. Your life should display hope, peace, and strength. Refuse to carry a defeated demeanor. Let your face reflect expectation. Let your words announce victory. When people encounter you, they should be reminded that God is alive, powerful, and present.
Words are powerful—especially your own. So speak deliberately. Speak in alignment with your future. If you desire prosperity, speak in faith. If you desire restoration, speak life. Your future responds to your confession.
Your glorious future is in your mouth.
God bless you.
Faith-Filled Confession:
I am not a victim or a product of my past. I am a product of the eternal Word of God. I speak life, victory, peace, and strength. The joy of the Lord is my strength. I live each day on purpose and in faith, in Jesus’ name. Amen.
