“Just as the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give His life as a ransom for many.” – Matthew 20:28
In a world where many strive for recognition, position, and influence, Jesus presents a completely different model. Though He is Lord of all, He did not come demanding service or honor. Instead, He came with the heart of a servant. His life was marked by humility, compassion, and sacrifice.
Jesus did not simply teach about serving—He lived it. He served the sick, the broken, the rejected, and the lost. Ultimately, His greatest act of service was giving His life as a ransom for humanity. Through His sacrifice, we received salvation, freedom, and new life.
As believers, we are called to reflect that same heart. Serving God is not about titles, visibility, or applause. It is about humility and love. True service seeks the good of others and the glory of God, not personal recognition.
When we understand the example of Jesus, our perspective on service changes. We no longer ask, “What can I gain?” Instead, we ask, “How can I be a blessing?” Whether our service is seen or unseen, small or great, God values a heart that is willing to serve.
Today, allow the life of Jesus to inspire you. Look for opportunities to serve others with love, patience, and humility. When you serve with the heart of Christ, you reflect His nature to the world.
God bless you.
Faith-Filled Confession:
Today I choose to serve like Christ. I walk in humility, love, and compassion. I do not seek recognition, but I seek to glorify God in all that I do. My life is a vessel of service, and through me the love of Christ is revealed to the world. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
