UNITY AND ONENESS

1/11/2026

Numbers 11:16–17

“And the Lord said to Moses, ‘Gather for Me seventy men of the elders of Israel, whom you know to be elders of the people and officers over them; bring them to the Tent of Meeting, and let them stand there with you. Then I will come down and speak with you there. I will take of the Spirit that is upon you and put the same upon them, and they shall bear the burden of the people with you, so that you will not bear it alone.’”

Romans 14:19

“So then, let us aim for harmony in the church and try to build each other up.”

Jesus made it clear in Mark 3:24 that a kingdom divided against itself cannot stand. For the vision of any house to prosper, those within that house must be in one accord. Likewise, for the vision of Heaven to prevail, the Father, the Word, and the Holy Spirit operate in perfect unity (1 John 5:7). In the same way, for the vision of your local church to prosper, there must be unity among the brethren and oneness with the vision.

Being in one accord with the vision of your local church does not mean that you will always fully understand the leading of your pastors. However, if you have prayed for them, you must trust God’s leadership through them. Do not be the one who constantly opposes their direction. Plug yourself into the vision. Do your part. Then watch God perform wonders through His united body.

You must also refuse to participate in, promote, or tolerate an environment that breeds division. If you see anyone attempting to stir up strife, stand firmly against it. Do not become a listening ear for gossip—whether it concerns church members or church leadership. Gossip fuels division, and Scripture is clear that “where envy and strife exist, confusion and every evil work are present” (James 3:16).

It is your responsibility to stop gossip in its tracks. Proverbs 26:20 reminds us, “Fire goes out without wood, and quarrels disappear when gossip stops.” If there is one thing the Bible explicitly tells us God hates, it is the sowing of discord among His children (Proverbs 6:19).

For the vision of your local church to prosper, an environment that welcomes and sustains the blessing of God must be cultivated. The Almighty God—who can do all things—will not command His anointing to manifest in an atmosphere that entertains division. Psalm 133:1–3 declares:

“How wonderful and pleasant it is when brothers live together in harmony! For harmony is as precious as the anointing oil poured over Aaron’s head, running down his beard and onto the borders of his robe. It is as refreshing as the dew of Mount Hermon falling on the mountains of Zion. For there the Lord has commanded the blessing—life forevermore.”

Therefore, be wise. Do not hinder the flow of God’s grace in your life by tolerating environments where division thrives. Walk in love, pursue peace, and encourage unity wherever you go.

Prayer Points

  • Refute every plan of the enemy to sow division in the body; declare that it will not stand.

  • Refute every attempt of the enemy to distract our pastors, leaders, residents, and partners from the vision God has given this ministry.

  • Pray that our residents and partners will be united in mind, purpose, and love, making it impossible for the enemy to gain any advantage over us.

Faith-Filled Confession

I thank You, Father, for my lead pastor and spiritual leaders. I submit myself to their leadership. I will pray for them and not criticize them. I commit to doing my part to ensure that the vision You have entrusted to them is carried out fully, in Jesus’ name. Amen.
