THE WORD

“And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, and we beheld His glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father, full of grace and truth.”
— John 1:14
God’s Word is binding and eternally settled. In Psalm 89:34, the Lord declares, “I will not violate My covenant or alter what My lips have uttered.” Child of God, whatever God has spoken concerning your life, He will not take back. If He has called you blessed, then you are blessed.
However, whether your life reflects that blessing is no longer God’s responsibility—it is now determined by your response to His Word. When you take hold of the Word and respond to it in faith, you give it permission to produce in your life. Everything you need to live the God-life is already contained in His Word. The Word can produce healing, provision, restoration, fruitfulness, and miracles of every kind. As Scripture declares, “His divine power has given us all things that pertain to life and godliness” (2 Peter 1:3).
The Word of God came to Mary through the angel Gabriel. She heard what God had spoken concerning her, and though she did not fully understand how it would happen, she chose not to resist the Word. Instead, she responded with one of the most powerful statements in Scripture:
“Behold the maidservant of the Lord! Let it be to me according to Your Word” (Luke 1:38).
Mary received the Word of God as a seed. She aligned her attitude, her confession, and her faith with what God had spoken. In the fullness of time, the Word she received became flesh—and the world beheld the glory of God through her obedience. John 1:14 reminds us that the Word became flesh because it was first received without reservation.
This brings us to an important question: what is your attitude toward God’s Word? God’s will concerning you is settled. His desire is that you live daily in health, peace, joy, victory, and prosperity. But for His Word to manifest, it must first be allowed to dwell richly within you.
We all have a spiritual womb. When you receive God’s Word as a seed, meditate on it until conception takes place. See it with the eyes of your spirit. Confess it until it manifests before your eyes. And just as it was with Mary, so it will be with you—others will testify of the miracle God has produced in your life. For “no Word of God shall be void of power” (Luke 1:37).
Merry Christmas, and God bless you.
