THE PRAYER OF FAITH 2

09/06/2024

“Therefore I say to you, whatever things you ask when you pray, believe that you receive them, and you will have them.”(Mark 11:24)

Yesterday we started on the subject of the prayer of faith and we are picking up from where I left off so refer to that devotional first if you missed it. Once you have settled on whatever things you should ask God, pray about it. There’s no speedier answer to prayer than to pray for things the Lord indicates to you through the Word of God or the Holy Spirit’s prompting.

And as to indicators of the things you should desire to pray the prayer of faith about the Lord may give you a dream, scripture, inward witness, or admonition through another person. However, you have a part in taking delivery of the Lord’s desires in your heart. Taking delivery only happens when you pray. The Bible doesn’t say, “if you pray,” it says, “when you pray.”

The moment you know what you should be desiring, pray about it, believing that you receive them. What does this mean? It means that if God gave you a word of prophecy or scripture that indicated God’s desire, meditate on it.

For example, maybe you have been fellowshipping with the Word of God about a financial situation and in the course of your interaction, 2 Corinthians 9:8 stood out to your heart among other scriptures, pray about the situation using 2 Corinthians 9:8 and then, proceed to thank the Lord using the same scripture.

Many have missed this part of the process of the prayer of faith by treating the believing portion as mental assent or acknowledgment. Believing is something more. Believing is the mingling of your heart with the word of God through meditation until you’re one mind and there is no room else for doubt. So, even after you have made the prayer of faith, you keep thanking based on the oneness that you have attained via meditation. The prayer of faith is a prayer of absolute certainty and you maintain that certainty through a meditative thanksgiving that you have received your ask. Have a blessed day!

Faith-Filled Confession

As I learn the tenets of the prayer of faith today, I understand that it operates by the oneness of my heart and mind with the Lord. I am reminded by the Holy Spirit of this principle as often as it is required until it becomes a part of me. In Jesus’ name. Amen.
