“Live a life filled with love, following the example of Christ. He loved us and offered Himself as a sacrifice for us, a pleasing aroma to God.”
(Ephesians 5:2 NLT)
There’s a striking trait among those who consistently walk in love: they always seem to have incredible testimonies. It’s as if God has taken a special liking to them, though that’s not truly the case. Yet, somehow, His favor flows toward them in unstoppable waves.
The reason is simple—these individuals maintain an uncompromised love walk. Their hearts are free of bitterness and resentment, and their lives are saturated with divine love.
Saint, it’s wonderful to study the Word, to pray fervently, and to serve faithfully in your local church. But let me remind you: none of these can substitute for walking in love. Jesus said, “By this everyone will know that you are My disciples—if you love one another” (John 13:35).
The true proof that you belong to Jesus isn’t in prophecy, healing, casting out devils, or speaking in tongues. These are all wonderful manifestations of the Spirit—but the clearest mark of a disciple is love. Paul emphasized this truth when he said, “If I had the gift of prophecy, and if I understood all of God’s secret plans and possessed all knowledge, and if I had such faith that I could move mountains, but didn’t love others, I would be nothing” (1 Corinthians 13:2 AMP).
In other words, love is greater than every other spiritual expression. One can operate in the gifts of the Spirit and still fall short in their love walk. Yet, the best and most beautiful picture is of the believer who does both—who demonstrates the power of the Spirit and walks in uncompromised love.
Let me say it again by the Spirit of God: things will not work right until you start walking in love.
If you’re facing challenges right now, take a moment to examine your love walk. Many have prayed and fasted for change, but saw no results because they ignored this vital issue. If you truly commune with the Holy Spirit in prayer, He will always point you back to love.
So if, in this month of next level, you’ve not yet seen the testimonies you’re expecting, pause and examine your heart. Are there areas where you’ve withheld love? Are there people you’ve refused to forgive?
It doesn’t matter who was at fault or how deeply you were hurt—walk in love anyway. Jesus said, “You will be hated by all for My name’s sake. But the one who endures to the end will be saved” (Matthew 10:22).
To see true progress, you must walk in love. Be proactive and intentional about living a life that radiates God’s liquid love. When you do, your life becomes the very fragrance of Christ—a sweet aroma rising before God.
So begin today—right where you are—with the people around you. Love them like Jesus.
Faith-Filled Confession
I live a life of love, just as Christ loved me and gave Himself for me. My words, thoughts, and actions are full of divine love. I refuse bitterness, strife, and resentment. Through me, the fragrance of God’s love fills my world. Everywhere I go, His goodness, mercy, and favor overflow. Hallelujah!
