THE MIRACLE CHURCH

04/12/2023

"For the eyes of the Lord move to and fro throughout the earth so that He may support those whose heart is completely His…" (2 Chronicle 16:9).

It’s very sad to see many in the house of God who believe that miracles are fake or staged. Some have gone as far as to suggest that divine manifestations of power are demonic. Although, I have never understood how a child of God can be skeptical of miracles. But I am reminded of Nathanael in John 1. Here was a man who was very skeptical of Jesus. The Bible says, "Philip found Nathanael and told him, "We have found the One Moses wrote about in the Law, the One the prophets foretold—Jesus of Nazareth, the son of Joseph." "Can anything good come from Nazareth?" Nathanael asked. Philip said, "Come and see." Sometimes, that is really all we have to say--come and see.

2 Chronicles 16:9 says, "For the eyes of the Lord move to and fro throughout the earth so that He may support those whose heart is completely His…" A better rendering says, "to show Himself powerful." In other words, God Almighty desperately seeks an audience in the lives of those that are born again to show off His might and power. Even right now, I hear chatters in Heaven of how quiet the church has become, with no demonstration of power and glory. Saints, the church that Jesus started, was a power-church and is still is a powerhouse.

There was an incident that happened in Acts 5, and the Bible says that as a result, "Great fear gripped the entire church and everyone else who heard what had happened." When Dorcas died in Acts 9, the church refused to bury her when they heard that Peter was coming to that region. The Scriptures tell us that "Peter made them all leave the room. Then he got down on his knees and prayed. He turned to her body and said, "Tabitha, get up!" She opened her eyes and looked at Peter, and sat up. He took her by the hand and lifted her up. Then he called in the faithful followers and the women whose husbands had died. He gave her to them, a living person" (Acts 9:40-41). On this occasion, Peter prayed, and Dorcas, or Tabitha as she was also called, came back to life.

However, there was another instance where no prayer was said, yet, a great miracle was performed. Acts 20:7-11 records, "On the first day of the week we came together to break bread. Paul spoke to the people and, because he intended to leave the next day, kept on talking until midnight. There were many lamps in the upstairs room where we were meeting. Seated in a window was a young man named Eutychus, who was sinking into a deep sleep as Paul talked on and on. When he was sound asleep, he fell to the ground from the third story and was picked up dead.  Paul went down, threw himself on the young man, and put his arms around him. "Don't be alarmed," he said. "He's alive!" Then he went upstairs again and broke bread and ate. After talking until daylight, he left." Paul did this like it was nothing!

Saints, the church of Jesus is a place for encounters, visitations, demonstrations, and manifestations of God's power and glory. The church is not a boring or quiet place. The Bible doesn't call us temples of the Holy Ghost for nothing. Ephesians 3:20 says, "Now to Him who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to His power that is at work within us." This means that God's power is not just in Heaven, but His power is in us. And it's time we do what Peter, Paul, and the other apostles did with the power. They healed the sick, cast out devils, and raised the dead with God's power in them.

Now is our time to do immeasurably more by using the name of Jesus. It's time to be the miracle church.

Faith-Filled Confession:

I am an envoy of the supernatural and a carrier of God's divine essence. Where ever I go, God goes. I represent the move of God in the earth. Therefore, I will not be quiet. I will exercise my authority and dominion in the name of Jesus. So, I decree supernatural alignment with Heaven's agenda in my affairs and my community. In Jesus' name. Amen.
