"And will not God bring about justice for his chosen ones, who cry out to him day and night? Will he keep putting them off? I tell you, he will see that they get justice, and quickly. However, when the Son of Man comes, will he find faith on the earth?” (Luke 18:7-8)
That God will find faith on earth is certain. He will. There will be people exercising human faith in the aspect of traveling by air, having surgery and starting businesses. However, this is not the faith that Jesus is looking to find. The kind of faith He is looking to find is the faith of God .
This faith is based on the knowledge of God in Christ Jesus. 2 Peter 1:1-2 says, "Simon Peter, a bondservant and apostle of Jesus Christ, To those who have obtained like precious faith with us by the righteousness of our God and Savior Jesus Christ: Grace and peace be multiplied to you in the knowledge of God and of Jesus our Lord."
In other words, your faith ought to be in God and the Lord Jesus Christ. This is the faith that God considers righteous. But what does faith in God and the Lord Jesus Christ mean? Romans 10:6-7 says, "But the righteousness of faith speaks in this way, “Do not say in your heart, ‘Who will ascend into heaven?’ ” (that is, to bring Christ down from above) or, “ ‘Who will descend into the abyss?’ ” (that is, to bring Christ up from the dead)." A simple way to explain this is that the faith of God does not work on human explanations. Don't ask how the money will come; how your health will be restored; or how the relationship will be reconciled. Analyzing how things work in the natural as a basis for making decisions is not the kind of faith that Jesus hopes to find when He returns.
Rather, the faith of God operates by speaking based on the knowledge of God and the Lord Jesus Christ. "But what does it say? “The word is near you, in your mouth and in your heart” (that is, the word of faith which we preach): that if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved." (Romans 10:8-9).
Now, this is a truth and a parable. Now the statement, "...if you confess with our mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved..." is both literal and figurative. To confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus means, to say the same things as God in accordance with the Lordship of the Word of God that you have spent time meditating on. Jesus is the Word of God and to meditate on the Word is a way by which you spend time with Him. Victory, deliverance, healing, prosperity and direction is only possible when the believer engages the faith of God in this manner.
This is what it means when four times in the Bible, the Lord says, "the just shall live by faith" (Habbakuk 2:4; Romans 1:17; Galatians 3:11 and Hebrews 10:38). You live by saying the same things as God in Christ Jesus that have become a part of you through meditation.
This is why it is important for you to know the Word of God for yourself. Meditate on it until it becomes a part of you.
Have a blessed day.
Faith-Filled Confession
I live by faith, and not by sight. The faith of God in Christ Jesus in the faith by which I organize my life. I only say the things the Lord says, and my results are resounding. In Jesus' name. Amen
