TALKING RIGHT TO LIVE RIGHT

10/12/2025

“For with the heart men believe and obtain righteousness, and with the mouth they make confession and obtain salvation.”

(Romans 10:10, Weymouth New Testament)

Do you realize that you can’t live right until you start talking right? You can’t walk in victory until you start declaring that you are a victor in Christ Jesus over hell and death.

Talking right doesn’t mean you’re good with grammar or tenses. Talking right means your words are saturated with the Wisdom and Spirit of the Word of God. You may not always be quoting scripture directly, but when your speech is inspired by the Word, you are talking right.

In Genesis 3:6–10, after Adam and his wife ate the forbidden fruit and discovered they were naked, the LORD called out, “Where are you?” Adam replied, “I heard you walking in the garden, so I hid. I was afraid because I was naked.” Then God said to him, “Who told you that you were naked?” (Genesis 3:11).

In essence, God was saying, “Adam, you’re not talking right—who have you been listening to?”

That’s the same problem with many believers today. They speak a strange language that doesn’t align with the Word of God. You hear Christians confessing depression, lack, sickness, bitterness—thinking they’re just being honest or humble. But what they don’t realize is that their words are creating their reality.

The darkness—depression, sickness, lack—is their own creation. You cannot live above your confession. You are the result of what you continually say. The depression is your creation. The bitterness is your creation. The lack is your creation.

As long as you keep confessing lack, you will never experience increase. It doesn’t matter how much you earn or how much is in your bank account—eventually, lack will seize you as a possession. Why? Because what you say is what you become—it’s a law of the Spirit.

In Hebrews 13:5–6 (NASB), the Bible says:

“Make sure that your character is free from the love of money, being content with what you have; for He Himself has said, ‘I will never desert you, nor will I ever forsake you,’ so that we confidently say, ‘The Lord is my helper, I will not be afraid. What will man do to me?’

Notice the pattern: He has said… so that we may boldly say.

We are to confidently declare what He said—not what we feel, think, or assume.

I remember once getting into an elevator with a few people. A gentleman asked, “Are you going down?” I smiled and said, “H” no! I’m not going down—please press the G button.”

Now, he was a nice guy and I appreciated his courtesy, but I was mindful of my confession. I refused to agree with anything contrary to what God has spoken concerning me. Jesus said, “If two of you shall agree on earth as touching anything that they shall ask, it shall be done for them...” (Matthew 18:19). I knew I had to disagree with that “going down” statement immediately!

The Word for this month has already been declared. Appropriate the glory of it with your confessions. Refuse to think, talk, or act contrary to increase. See increase, speak increase, live increase—in all directions!

Praise God!

Faith-Filled Confession

I do not go down, no matter the situation. I have victory over all circumstances and adversities of life. I walk in unstoppable increase and supernatural success. My greatness is increased a thousand-fold, and my prosperity knows no limits. This month and always, I rise higher and higher, in the mighty Name of Jesus. Amen!
