"But we see Jesus, who was made a little lower than the angels, for the suffering of death crowned with glory and honor, that He, by the grace of God, might taste death for everyone" (Hebrews 2:9).
Until you see Jesus and respond to the way you see Him, there would be no miracle. Herein is how you fulfill the unique call and purpose of God for your life. It's not enough to see Jesus, you must act on what you see. In Matthew 14:25-27, we find a vivid illustration. The Bible says, "Now in the fourth watch of the night Jesus went to them, walking on the sea. And when the disciples saw Him walking on the sea, they were troubled, saying, “It is a ghost!” And they cried out for fear. But immediately Jesus spoke to them, saying, “Be of good cheer! It is I; do not be afraid.”
Notice that it was all the disciples in that boat that saw Jesus and to a large extent, were taken out of their comfort zones by what they saw. When you see Jesus, it would be a call to do something or be something that will be beyond your previous capacity. Don't let the checkbook, symptoms, or self-limiting thoughts make you fear.
Matthew 14:28-29 says, "And Peter answered Him and said, “Lord, if it is You, command me to come to You on the water.” So He said, “Come.” And when Peter had come down out of the boat, he walked on the water to go to Jesus."
The technology that was deployed when Peter walked on water might be found in 2 Corinthians 3:16-18. It says, "Nevertheless when one turns to the Lord, the veil is taken away. Now the Lord is the Spirit; and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty. But we all, with unveiled face, beholding as in a mirror the glory of the Lord, are being transformed into the same image from glory to glory, just as by the Spirit of the Lord."
What does it mean to "turn to the Lord"? It means to realize that you and Jesus are one. Just as Michelangelo would see an angel in a rock and sculpt it out, when you see Jesus, if you couldn't walk, you would suddenly realize that Jesus could not be lame. You would get up to your feet, walking, leaping, and praising God. The technology allows you to see yourself in His image and be or do what He can.
This month, it is time to harness the technology of seeing Jesus. Hebrew 12:2 AMP calls it, "[looking away from all that will distract us and] focusing our eyes on Jesus, who is the Author and Perfecter of faith [the first incentive for our belief and the One who brings our faith to maturity], who for the joy [of accomplishing the goal] set before Him endured the cross, disregarding the shame, and sat down at the right hand of the throne of God [revealing His deity, His authority, and the completion of His work]." Take time every day and meditate over the course of this month concerning specific things you want to see, and the moment your heart turns to the Lord, whatever He tells you to do, do it.
There is only one way to manifest the glory of God; the only way to do it is to behold Jesus. "And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us, and we beheld His glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father, full of grace and truth" (John 1:14).
Win big this month! Congratulations!
Faith-Filled Confession
I look and see Jesus. The storms of life are irrelevant. Whom I see is who I am, and Jesus might have the preeminence in all that concerns me. Hallelujah!
