NOTHING COMPARES TO THIS

08/04/2024

"You make known to me the path of life; you will fill me with joy in your presence, with eternal pleasures at your right hand" (Psalm 16:11).

Fellowshipping with the Spirit is an absolute marvel. When the anointing of the Holy Ghost came upon me so powerfully, I couldn't help but ask the Lord, “How can someone want anything else after this?” You may have heard me say this repeatedly: “How do people live without the touch of the anointing in their daily walk?” This question arises from my experience with the glow of His glory. Anyone who has encountered God’s glory will tell you the same thing: there is nothing in this world that compares to His presence.

I once asked someone how it felt not to walk in God’s will and presence. The reason I asked was that the thought of living without the glow of the Spirit of God is, and always will be, dreadful to me. Yet, it seems so normal to many of God’s people. It almost seems like something is wrong with those who have a deep reverence for God’s presence and are committed to living right by Him. Saints, make no mistake: it pays to listen to God. If you understood the impact your fellowship with the Spirit has on your life and those around you, I have no doubt you would want to linger more in fellowship.

Remember, Peter wasn’t out of his mind when he told Jesus he wanted to remain under the glow of God’s glory on the mount of Transfiguration. Something extraordinary happened to Peter; he saw and experienced the indescribable. So, don’t ever think that your intercession, speaking faith-filled words, and living right are a waste of time just because you are not yet seeing tangible results. Malachi 3:18 says, “Then you will again see the difference between righteous people and wicked people, between the one who serves God and the one who doesn't serve him.” In other words, it’s just a matter of time.

The time you spend in communion with God is what will set you apart. It may seem like life is going well for those who have no reverence for the things of God, but the Word never lies. In time, there will be a clear distinction between the person who spends the early hours of the day communing with God, seeking only to please Him, and the one who believes they are too busy for God or that God understands if they don’t fellowship with the Holy Spirit. Remember, our communion with God is not about what we hope to get out of it; it is our response to His love and grace. There is an immeasurable, eternal effect of spending time with God. It is truly the best place to be every day.

David said, “You make known to me the path of life; you will fill me with joy in your presence, with eternal pleasures at your right hand.” Brothers and sisters, this is just one of the many benefits of communion with the Spirit. There is a path for your finances, marriage, or the next step in life that you will not find on social media or anywhere else. The secrets of life are revealed only when you are in communion with the Holy Ghost. Is there a question that has lingered for a long time without a clear answer? If so, ask the Lord, and He will be delighted to provide you with an answer. Don’t forget this: the best part of your day is when you talk and listen to God.

God bless you!

Faith-Filled Confession

Lord Jesus, I love you so much. Thank you for beautifying my life with your love and the Holy Ghost. I am delighted to be called your own. Thank you.
