MOUNT A GUARD AGAINST CONTRARY PICTURES

05/05/2024

"For she kept saying to herself, If I only touch His garment, I shall be restored to health" (Matthew 9:21 AMP).

In life, your victory or defeat hinges on your resilience with the Word. Nothing is simply handed to you; it's a battle, not with the devil, for that fight is already won! Instead, it's the fight of faith, where you grasp onto what God has said until your reality bows to the authority of the Spirit within you. Remember what Paul told Timothy in 1 Timothy 1:18, "Timothy, my child, I entrust to you this command, which is in accordance with the words of prophecy spoken in the past about you. Use those words as weapons in order to fight well." Paul meant, "Let nothing but the Word shape your circumstances." When life veers off course from God's revealed truth for you, use the Word to guide it back.

Saint, your life isn't a roll of the dice; it's a fulfillment of prophecy. Acts 3:25 declares, "And you are heirs of the prophets..." You're a living manifestation of prophecy. So, refuse to accept family drama, illness, or lack as your destiny. Consider the woman with the issue of blood; she could've succumbed to the well-meaning but faithless advice around her. Doctors, friends, and family likely offered hollow reassurances, saying, "Just hang in there. You've done all you can. God moves in mysterious ways. Just wait; He might be teaching you something." Though seemingly comforting, such counsel lacks faith. That's why she didn't heed it. I've witnessed people being steered away from the Word by similar counsel. But not her. Despite the discouragement, she clung to her faith confession. She kept saying, "If I may but touch His garment, I shall be whole." Against all odds, she affirmed, "If I only touch His garment, I shall be restored to health." What was she doing? She was envisioning her miracle, and through her confession, she linked herself to it. Better yet, she prophesied her way out of her predicament.

With her confession, she fortified herself against the onslaught of contrary images of sickness. She persisted in saying, "If I may but touch His garment, I shall be whole." Essentially, she assumed control, no longer allowing sickness to dictate her actions. Her vision of her miracle became paramount. In her perception, she wasn't the woman plagued by an issue of blood; she was the woman destined for a miracle.

Child of God, know this: God doesn't respond to tears; He responds to faith. What He has done for one, He will do for anyone bold enough to believe Him.

God bless you!

Faith-filled Confession:

I have favor with God and men. I am favored everywhere I go. I refuse to accept any disability. The hand of God is upon me. I walk in Christ's beauty and victory. I declare that I am healed and favored in Jesus' name. Amen.
