IT’S YOURS ALREADY

“And ought not this woman, being a daughter of Abraham, whom Satan hath bound, lo, these eighteen years, be loosed from this bond on the sabbath day?”
—Luke 13:16
Often, believers pray for things that already belong to them or ask God to do what He has instructed them to do. This kind of praying may feel spiritual, but it cripples faith. For instance, praying, “Lord, come and save the world,” is unscriptural—because salvation is already accomplished! Heaven cannot respond to such a prayer. It only leads to frustration because it is not based on faith.
Romans 10:7–9 teaches us that righteousness by faith does not ask Jesus to come down or rise again—because He already did. Salvation has already been granted to every human being as a right; each person must simply lay hold of it by believing in Jesus. That’s why John 1:12 declares that those who receive Him are given the right to become children of God. Hallelujah!
Luke 13:16 presents the case of a woman who was bound by Satan for eighteen years. As a daughter of Abraham, she had a covenant right to be free, yet she remained afflicted because she didn’t know or exercise her right. Some ask, “Why didn’t God do something?” The answer is simple: God will never do for you what He has already done.
This is the experience of many believers today. They suffer—not because God wants them to—but because they fail to lay hold of what is already theirs in Christ.
Child of God, Jesus was made sick so that you might be made well. Isaiah 53:10 tells us it pleased the Lord to bruise Him and to put Him to grief for our sake. Because of His sacrifice, healing is no longer a promise—it is your inheritance and your right in Christ. But it is your responsibility to refuse sickness, resist disease, and enforce your covenant rights.
Divine health is yours. Take it and walk in it. Glory to God!
God bless you richly.
