“For they being ignorant of God's righteousness, and going about to establish their own righteousness, have not submitted themselves unto the righteousness of God.” (Romans 10:3)
Living and walking in the path of righteousness cannot be achieved through human ability or senses. Religion teaches that we are sinners hoping to be saved by grace, claiming that no one is holy except God. However, the Word of God teaches that we who are born again are the righteousness of God in Christ Jesus (2 Corinthians 5:21). Hebrews 3:1 says, "Therefore, holy brothers and sisters, who share in the heavenly calling, fix your thoughts on Jesus, whom we acknowledge as our apostle and high priest." God has no problem calling you holy and righteous, but religion does because it is ignorant of God's righteousness and seeks to establish its own. Until a person submits to God's righteousness, they will not be able to live and produce fruits of righteousness.
Righteousness is God's divine ability that produces in you the thoughts, inspiration, strength, and circumstances to think, speak, and do right. It is the nature of God within you that overcomes the nature of sin and death. Every child of God is superior to sin, sickness, and the devil because of the nature of God in them. When I say every child of God, I am not speaking in terms of religion; I am referring to a reproduction, the bearing of an offspring, like a mother giving birth to a child. For those who are born again, this is exactly what happened the day you said, “I confess Jesus Christ as Lord of my life.” You were born again. Hallelujah!
Now that you are born again, the Bible says, "All of us who have been baptized into Christ Jesus were baptized into his death. We were therefore buried with him by baptism into death, in order that, just as Christ was raised from the dead by the glory of the Father, we too might walk in newness of life." When Jesus was crucified on the cross, you were in Him. When He died, you died. Likewise, when He was buried, you were also buried with Him. And when God raised Him from the dead, brothers and sisters, we were also raised together with Him. The Bible declares that we are seated with Him in the heavenly places at the right hand of God. Hallelujah!
This is why Satan or any demon cannot dispute your authority over them. They know that you were in hell with Jesus when He incapacitated Satan's ability beyond restoration and took the keys of hell and death from him. As far as Satan is concerned, you did. They saw you walk out of hell in Jesus, fully clothed with the robe of victory and righteousness. This is what the Spirit communicated through the Apostle in Romans 6:5-11: "For if we have been united with him in a death like his, we shall certainly be united with him in a resurrection like his. We know that our old self was crucified with him in order that the body of sin might be brought to nothing, so that we would no longer be enslaved to sin. For one who has died has been set free from sin. Now if we have died with Christ, we believe that we will also live with him. We know that Christ, being raised from the dead, will never die again; death no longer has dominion over him. For the death he died he died to sin, once for all, but the life he lives he lives to God. So you also must consider yourselves dead to sin and alive to God in Christ Jesus.” Hallelujah!
Submit to this divine nature that you have within you. Yield to God's ability that produces divine results in and through you. Align your thoughts and confession with the Word of God. For example, you may not feel holy, but that does not change the eternal truth that you are as holy as Jesus is right now. See yourself in His righteousness and let your confession be colored with this truth: you are the righteousness of God.
Shout AMEN!
Faith-Filled Confession:
I am the righteousness of God and a beauty to my world today. I am full of life, health, wisdom, and strength. I am God's aroma everywhere I go in Jesus' name.
