HOW TO MAXIMIZE THE MOVE OF THE SPIRIT IN YOUR LIFE

07/08/2024

"For thus says the LORD: After seventy years are completed at Babylon, I will visit you and perform My good word toward you, and cause you to return to this place." (Jeremiah 29:10)

God's visitations are always timed in cycles. There is a pre-visitation cycle, which often requires a certain level of devotion to the Lord. This involves forsaking pleasures, distractions, and certain company. This cycle can last as long as God determines. Therefore, you must put everything aside and focus on the Lord the moment you sense a visitation.

One way to perceive the Lord's visitation is through an increased desire for fellowship with Him. Job 23:12 says, "I have not departed from the commandment of His lips; I have treasured the words of His mouth more than my necessary food." This heightened desire is an invitation to give the Lord your utmost attention through prayer and fasting. You set aside pleasures and distractions to receive the sovereign counsel of the Lord concerning your destiny. These visitations are destiny-maturing moments that should not be taken lightly.

There are also post-visitation cycles, which, similar to the pre-visitation cycle, require utmost attention for two reasons. Your most vulnerable time as a believer is immediately after a visitation. This time requires your utmost sensitivity. Mark 4:15 says, "And these are the ones by the wayside where the word is sown. When they hear, Satan comes immediately and takes away the word that was sown in their hearts." Sometimes, Satan uses offense from others or hardships to snatch away the grace newly released to you. You must recognize this and refuse to be offended or speak in a way that undermines the encounter you had with God.

The other reason to pay attention is that certain strategies are released to you to execute the new graces that came during the visitation. Instructions are given with time limits for compliance to measure up to your new level of destiny. Failure to comply quickly as the Lord determines will lead to an automatic loss of the new season.

In the post-visitation cycle, which may last an hour or a few days, ensure that nothing dissuades you from giving your utmost attention to the instructions received from the Lord. Enter a period of consecration, which could involve meditating and praying about the prophetic words and scriptures that came to you during the visitation. Lastly, commit to performing the requirements of the instructions given to your heart. For example, God may require you to pray at a certain time daily after a visitation. Never miss that time to pray.

Understand that the Lord visited us last week, and we will never be the same if we take to heart the parts He will have us perform. Go back to your notes. Continue fasting if you must, and execute the things He demanded.

Have an excellent day.

Faith-Filled Confession:

I am a beneficiary of divine visitation. I maximize the impact of every visitation by the inspiration of the Holy Spirit, who reminds me of scriptures and instructions in a timely manner, enabling me to do them according to the Lord's will. I know with certainty that I will never be the same again because I have moved from glory to glory.
