GOD HEARD YOU THE FIRST TIME
10/30/2026
“This is the confidence we have in approaching God: that if we ask anything according to his will, he hears us. And if we know that he hears us—whatever we ask—we know that we have what we asked of him.” 1 John 5:14–15
There is something comforting and reassuring about knowing that God hears you when you pray. You may not have seen the answer yet, and circumstances may not have changed, but never conclude that God has ignored your prayers.
First John 5:14–15 tells us that we have this confidence in Him: if we ask anything according to His will, He hears us. And if we know that He hears us, we know that we have the petitions we have asked of Him.
Think about that for a moment! Your confidence in prayer is not based on how loudly you prayed, how long you prayed, or how emotional you became. Your confidence is based on the faithfulness of the One who hears you.
In Daniel 10:12, the angel told Daniel, "Do not be afraid, Daniel. Since the first day that you set your mind to gain understanding and to humble yourself before your God, your words were heard..."
Notice that Daniel's prayer was heard from the very first day, even though the manifestation took time.
Child of God, God hearing you and you seeing the manifestation are not necessarily the same moment. Do not mistake a delay in manifestation for a denial of God's attention. Continue to trust Him!
Perhaps you have prayed about your family, your finances, your health, your ministry, or a situation that seems to have remained unchanged. I want to encourage you today: keep your confidence in God. His faithfulness is not measured by the speed at which circumstances change.
Remember, you are not praying to a distant God who is indifferent to your concerns. You are approaching your heavenly Father through Jesus Christ. He knows your needs, His Word is dependable, and His wisdom is perfect.
So, lift your head. Strengthen your heart. Refuse to give up on the Word of God. Continue in faith, knowing that your heavenly Father hears you.
Praise God!
FAITH-FILLED CONFESSION
My heavenly Father hears me when I pray according to His will. I have confidence in His faithfulness and stand firmly on His Word. I refuse to be discouraged by what I see or by what has not yet manifested. My confidence is not in circumstances but in the integrity of God's Word. I know that He hears me, and I have confidence concerning the petitions I have presented before Him. I will not faint, I will not give up, and I will not be moved. My faith is alive, my heart is established, and my expectation remains strong. God is faithful to His Word, and I walk in the assurance of His unfailing love. In Jesus' Name. Amen!
