"Where there is no vision, the people perish: but he that keepeth the law, happy is he." (Proverbs 29:18 KJV)
Depression is a product of a lack of vision. The moment you feel depressed, whether it is as a result of satanic imaginations or the occurrence of something negative that makes you feel victimized, go back to the vision of God for your life.
Now if you do not know the vision of your life, you have two alternatives. Number 1, have a session with God to secure your personal vision. The second option is to piggyback on the vision of our church until you have found your vision within the vision of our spiritual family. The latter will not carry you for long but it is a good stop-gap to cast down depressive thoughts.
So before I disclose the vision of this spiritual family to which you belong, it is important that I define for you what a vision is, in the context of God's Word. A vision is that divine statement that commissions an action and provides a tool or tools for the attainment of a divine objective. Because it is divine, a vision is a weapon, mighty through God, for the pulling down of strongholds and the dismissal of satanic imaginations (see 2 Corinthians 10:4-5).
That said, our vision is to turn people from darkness to light and build them up through the Word of God's grace until they take possession of their inheritance among those who are sanctified. (See Acts 20:32; Acts 26:18). If you synthesize this vision statement, you will find the three elements of action, tools and objective.
From here, if you do not yet know your vision which will be inherent in the vision of the Grace House Family, spend time praying until you receive your private vision statement from the Lord. It may come in form of scripture or as an impression of the Holy Ghost. In either or both cases, make sure to write down what you receive because that will be a mighty weapon for ending depressive thoughts on the day of adversity.
Don't let the dark clouds that float over the heads of many settle over you for such thoughts do not come to stay but to pass. Make no mistakes, the enemy will try to becloud your mind from time to time with depressive thoughts but this devotional has armed you to the teeth with the next steps to take.
Go back to the vision!
Have a beautiful and God bless you,
Faith-Filled Confession
I was called to turn people from darkness to light and from the power of Satan to God. I am a bringer of divine forgiveness to a multitude and by the Word of God's grace I build others until they grasp their inheritance in Christ among those who are sanctified. Hallelujah!!!
