“And the man became rich, and continued to grow richer until he became very wealthy.”
(Genesis 26:13)
One of the most common mistakes believers make is attempting to reason spiritual instructions through the natural mind. This is why many fail to see results from the Word. Jesus said to Thomas,“Because you have seen Me, you have believed. Blessed are those who have not seen and yet have believed”(John 20:29). Faith does not wait for evidence—it responds to the Word.
Consider Moses and the children of Israel in the wilderness of Zin. There was no water—none at all. Naturally speaking, the situation was hopeless. Yet God instructed Moses to speak to a rock. Imagine Moses saying, “I’m going to talk to the rock, and it will give us water.” To the natural mind, that sounds absurd. Who speaks to rocks? How does water come from stone? Yet that very act—illogical to man—released a supernatural supply.
This is the pattern of the Spirit. Time and again in Scripture, God’s solutions defy human reasoning. Isaac’s wealth did not come by chance. Genesis 26:12 tells us he sowed in the land during famine, and the Lord blessed him. His increase in verse 13 was rooted in obedience to the Word, not favorable conditions. What Isaac did was foolish to the natural man, but it was faith-filled—and it worked.
Scripture says, “The natural man does not receive the things of the Spirit of God, for they are foolishness to him” (1 Corinthians 2:14). This is why you must not seek consensus before obeying God. Do not poll opinions. Do not negotiate with logic. When God speaks, your responsibility is obedience—not understanding.
Make up your mind to flow with the Spirit. Trust His leading, even when it challenges your reasoning. The miracle is always on the other side of obedience.
Faith-Filled Confession
I refuse to subject my mind to fear, doubt, or vain reasoning. I live by faith and respond to the Word only. Regardless of what I see, feel, or hear, I think and speak victory. The Word of God defines my outcome. I am a believer and not a doubter. Hallelujah!
