DON’T CONSIDER THAT THOUGHT

"The road the righteous travel is like the sunrise, getting brighter and brighter until daylight has come" (Proverbs 4:18).
There is a purpose to your being. You may not feel that way because of the circumstances around you, but I want you to hear God's voice today. He is saying, "My child, there is a purpose to your being even in the midst of your circumstances." So, before you allow your thoughts to wander off into the realm of depression, listen to Jesus' words in Luke 12:15. He said, "Watch out and guard yourselves against every form of greed; for not even when one has an overflowing abundance does his life consist of nor is it derived from his possessions." In other words, human accomplishment means nothing if it does not carry with it, eternal value.
Not long ago, I read the news of the 36-year old daughter of the co-owner of the New York Giant's who died from suicide. I could only imagine the family's pain. I thought to myself, no amount of money or material possessions can buy true happiness and joy. Many young people today chase after these things and, even after acquiring them, they are still depressed. You know why? It is because joy does not come from an abundance of material possessions. Joy is of the Spirit.
Many have thought, if I can just have this, or if I can only have that, I will be happy. But here's the truth: If you are not happy now, there's nothing anyone can give you to make you happy. Solomon, a man who was the wealthiest in his day, said, "Vanity of vanities! All [that is done without God's guidance] is vanity [futile, meaningless—a wisp of smoke, a vapor that vanishes, merely chasing the wind]."
Are you feeling downcast today because of the victory that you have not yet recorded? Or have you allowed your circumstances to define you? Rather than wear a long face, why not see the opportunity in your circumstance? Because if God has said that you will be thus and thus, believe it! It may take time, but God's Word concerning you will surely come to pass. Proverbs 4:18 says, "The road the righteous travel is like the sunrise, getting brighter and brighter until daylight has come."
Don't compare your race to that of another, because your race is unique to you and your destiny is unique to you. You are not in competition with anybody else. 2 Corinthians 10:12 says, "We do not dare to classify or compare ourselves with some who commend themselves. When they measure themselves by themselves and compare themselves with themselves, they are not wise".I believe God is delivering someone today from the jaw of depression. Child of God, stay joyful. God is working your life for something amazingly beautiful. So, don't fight it, yield to it.
Faith-Filled Confession:
The joy of the Lord is my strength. And so, I declare that I am supernaturally strengthened to accomplish all that I have been called to do. In Jesus' name. Amen.
Prayer Points
2 Thessalonians 2:3 (AMPC) says: "Let no one deceive or beguile you in any way, for that day will not come except the apostasy comes first [unless the predicted great falling away of those who have professed to be Christians has come], and the man of lawlessness (sin) is revealed, who is the son of doom (of perdition).”
Colossians 4:12: "Epaphras, who is one of you, a servant of Christ, saluteth you, always laboring fervently for you in prayers, that ye may stand perfect and complete in all the will of God."
1 Corinthians 15:58: "Therefore, my beloved brethren, be ye steadfast, unmovable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, forasmuch as ye know that your labor is not in vain in the Lord."
Thank the Lord for His grace and mercies that enable us to live in victory throughout the month of April. Declare that none of us will lack wisdom, direction, inspiration, or strength for productivity.
Pray for our brethren, that more than ever, they will stay focused on Christ and the things of the Kingdom, and they will not be distracted by the transient pleasures of this world.
Declare that our brethren are established in Christ, deeply rooted and grounded in Him. They remain steadfast, unmovable, and abound in the work of the Lord with joy.
