CLASH OF AUTHORITIES

And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God." (Romans 12:2)
In the realm of the spirit, authority is the currency by which spirits manifest their agendas in the realm of people. Romans 6:16 says, "Do you not know that to whom you present yourselves slaves to obey, you are that one’s slaves whom you obey, whether of sin leading to death, or of obedience leading to righteousness?"
God’s word is authority and your disposition to Him must be submission.
That said, today’s theme scriptures bother on authority; the authority of the world system versus the authority of God and we are charged to supplant the authority of the world in exchange for the authority of God such that the outcome of His authority separates us from the rest of the world through the manifestation of the good, permissive and perfect agendas of God.
For example, it is the way of the world that leadership is about dominating or imposing on others. However, Jesus says, "Yet it shall not be so among you; but whoever desires to become great among you, let him be your servant." (Matthew 20:26)
Another example is the settling of disputes among Christians. The world’s way for settling disputes is litigious, through arbitration or some other court process. However, God's word for two believers going to court, no matter why, is this: "I say this to your shame. Is it so, that there is not a wise man among you, not even one, who will be able to judge between his brethren? But brother goes to law against brother, and that before unbelievers! Now, therefore, it is already an utter failure for you that you go to law against one another. Why do you not rather accept wrong? Why do you not rather let yourselves be cheated?" (1 Corinthians 6:5-7)
Now, sometimes, Christians conflate the way of the world with God’s word and the only thing this produces is spiritual dryness. Elijah identified this flaw in God’s people when he asked, "How long will you falter between two opinions? If the LORD is God, follow Him; but if Baal, follow him.” But the people answered him not a word" (1 Kings 18:21). The famine that the children of Israel experienced in Elijah's day was as a result of their inability to settle that God's authority was the final authority.
Settling on God's word as final authority is the only way you can manifest God’s plans, pursuits and purposes to the world around you as proof of God’s good, permissible or perfect agenda. Remember, the Bible says that the double-minded man is unstable in his ways (according to James 1:8)
If God has said something, then let it be settled in your heart until it supplants the way of the world system in your mind first and then in your words and actions.
God bless you.
Faith-Filled Confession
I settle on God's word because I am a conduit of the divine agenda of God everywhere I am and at every time. It is written of me, that I am the oracle of God and that I am enflamed by God. Glory!!!
