A PROPHETIC LIFESTYLE

05/02/2024

"So he said to me, "This is the word of the LORD to Zerubbabel: 'Not by might nor by power, but by my Spirit,' says the LORD Almighty” (Zechariah 4:6).

Do you realize that God is actively working within you at this very moment? There's a powerful flow within your spirit capable of healing any sickness, breaking any yoke of affliction, and even restoring the dead to life. It's the same divine power that raised Jesus from the dead. Just pause and contemplate that. The power of God, which spoke the universe into existence and resurrected Jesus, is dynamically at work within you. You might not feel it right now, but it's there. And it requires your belief to activate and bring change in your surroundings.

As Philippians 2:13 beautifully articulates, "[Not in your own strength] for it is God Who is all the while effectually at work in you [energizing and creating in you the power and desire], both to will and to work for His good pleasure and satisfaction and delight." What an incredible truth! And if that wasn't astounding enough, consider Ephesians 3:20: "Now to Him Who, by (in consequence of) the [action of His] power that is at work within us, is able to [carry out His purpose and] do superabundantly, far over and above all that we [dare] ask or think [infinitely beyond our highest prayers, desires, thoughts, hopes, or dreams]." Notice how it emphasizes that the power of God, capable of exceeding our wildest expectations, resides within us. This is a cause for celebration! Glory!

So here's the question: with this incredible power at work within us, how can we possibly fail? The truth is that failure becomes impossible when we willingly submit to the guidance of the Holy Spirit. Our only shortcomings occur when we disregard the Holy Spirit's leading. But if we align ourselves with the Word of God, just as Jesus and the great men and women of old did, we'll become vessels through which God's divine power flows effortlessly. By yielding to the Word, you become a beacon of Christ's authority and power in the world—a conduit for the miraculous. However, the key lies in surrendering to the Word. When you do so wholeheartedly, anything opposing you will soon realize its folly.

The angel said to Zerubbabel in Zechariah 4:6-7, "Not by might nor by power, but by my Spirit," says the LORD Almighty." Then, addressing the obstacle, the angel essentially scoffed, "Who do you think you are, you towering obstacle?" This declaration was rooted in the understanding that the Spirit was actively operating in Zerubbabel's life. With the Spirit at work, anything opposing him was essentially on a suicide mission doomed to fail. It's like saying that anything standing against Zerubbabel was directly challenging the Almighty God Himself.

Saint, this is God's picture of you this month. He has called you to a life adorned with miracles. Keep this image of the miraculous steadfastly before you, day and night. Meditate upon it, holding onto it tightly. Even if your surroundings contradict it, cling to it unwaveringly, refusing to see anything else. Recall, it's not through human might or strength, but by the HOLY SPIRIT.

Hallelujah!

Faith Filled Confession:

I am the beauty of God's Word revealed. I have a song in my mouth; a song of victory and strength. Even His praise, He has placed on my lips. I will declare of the Lord that He is good; His mercy endures through all generations. He has dealt bountifully with me. He has given me strength beyond human ability for great accomplishments. I will forever praise His name. Hallelujah!

Prayers

Begin with thanksgiving and praise to God.

Pray against fear, violence, wickedness, and all forms of disruption and terror masquerading as peaceful protest in support of the Palestinian people on campus across the United States.

Pray that all malicious and antichrist policies and laws, crafted to hinder the gospel on campuses be voided; and that the name of the Lord be glorified in institutions of higher learning.
