"Confess to one another therefore your faults (your slips, your false steps, your offenses, your sins) and pray [also] for one another, that you may be healed and restored [to a spiritual tone of mind and heart]. The earnest (heartfelt, continued) prayer of a righteous man makes tremendous power available [dynamic in its working]" (James 5:16 AMP).
A wise man once said, “Those who know God the best are the richest and most powerful in prayer.” Prayer breeds encounters, encounters breed revelation, revelation breeds conviction, conviction breeds trust, and trust breeds faith. Without faith, it is impossible to please God. The key here is that faith prays, unbelief does not, and Satan dreads a praying you. Prayer is a great deterrent to both sin and the forces of darkness. Now you understand why the enemy doesn't mind you doing everything except praying. For example, it is impossible to gossip about those for whom you are praying.
Jesus said, "Men ought always to pray, and not to faint," not just when they feel like it. Yes, there will be times when the impulse to pray is strong within you, but you must pray whether you feel it or not. One of the benefits of prayer is that it desensitizes you from the world. It acts as a shield over your soul, preventing the works of the flesh from dominating you. Without heartfelt, spiritual prayer, you will unconsciously embrace the world's way of doing things, and your life will be void of the glow of the Spirit. If Jesus said we ought always to pray, it means that the grace and the anointing to not only pray but also to receive answers are mighty upon us.
When the apostle, by the revelation of the Spirit, said, "The earnest (heartfelt, continued) prayer of a righteous man makes tremendous power available [dynamic in its working]" (James 5:16 AMP), I believe this is a clarion call for us in the ministry. You must prioritize prayer every day and be confident, knowing that prayer is not a mere discourse. It is a way of life, a life with God. So, I urge you to submit your will and emotions to the spirit of prayer and maximize the glory of His presence today.
Have a wonderful day and pray intermittently all day long.
God Bless You!
Faith-Filled Confession:
Father, in the name of the Lord Jesus, I refuse to be anxious about anything. I refuse to patronize failure, defeat, and sickness. I am alive to the abiding victory in Christ Jesus. I am alive to divine wisdom, health, and success. I am alive to my victory over hell and death. I am alive to the dominion of the Holy Ghost at work within me. I am alive to righteousness, God's divine favor, and increase. I am alive to purpose and destiny in Christ Jesus. I am alive to soul-winning. In Jesus' name, Amen.
