"Say to the righteous that it shall be well with them, For they shall eat the fruit of their doings." (Isaiah 3:10)
Sometimes, it is not what God says about a season that matters but what He has left unsaid. The weightier matters of God are always in the implications of what He has said. That's why Jesus spoke in parables. In Matthew 13:13-15, Jesus said, Therefore I speak to them in parables, because seeing they do not see, and hearing they do not hear, nor do they understand. And in them, the prophecy of Isaiah is fulfilled, which says: ‘Hearing you will hear and shall not understand, And seeing you will see and not perceive; For the hearts of this people have grown dull. Their ears are hard of hearing, And their eyes they have closed, Lest they should see with their eyes and hear with their ears, Lest they should understand with their hearts and turn So that I should heal them.’
When God said this was a season of harvest, His word was directed to everyone. The harvest was guaranteed. "While the earth remains, Seedtime and harvest, Cold and heat, Winter and summer, And day and night Shall not cease” (Genesis 8:22). However, there are different gestation periods for different seeds and so a harvest is specific to the seed sown.
Now, the seed sown was Jesus and according to Hebrews 2:10, it was so that God would through Jesus, bring many sons to glory and make Him, the captain of their salvation perfect through suffering. In essence, Jesus is a seed that became a tree that yields fruits of people from time to time. His own is to bear fruits and yours is to harvest the fruit, However, one of the signs of harvest is that it is also a time of great judgement for those who decline to be saved stubbornly, which is why our intercession in this season for mercy on such people must be top-notch.
Because the Spirit is drawing people to Himself in this hour, you will encounter some who will be vehemently resistant. Don't be fazed, rather go with their names into your prayer closet, have a laugh and see them come to Christ as you speak in tongues for their salvation. Such people are on their last wrung of rebellion and the enemy is making a last-ditch effort to retain them as his own. Your job with them is to maintain the pressure. They may seem unripe but they are ripe.
Because you are armed with this information, don't let the enemy pull a fast one over you by the seeming pushback of some that you evangelize. This is the best time to put in the sickle and harvest. If you run into one that is rebellious. don't quarrel. Just go back to your closest, have a laughing session and start speaking in tongues until there's a note of victory in your heart. Then go back and preach the gospel again.
Have a blessed day.
Faith-Filled Confession
I am God's harvester of the hour. And my mouth has been inundated with the gospel of Jesus Christ. As I bring glad tidings of Jesus to the people, I am received with joy and to those who resist, I am sensitive to do the needful such that they too are harvested into the kingdom of God. Glory!!!
