YOUR UPWARD CALL IN CHRIST JESUS

"Brethren, I do not count myself to have apprehended; but one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind and reaching forward to those things which are ahead, I press toward the goal for the prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus" (Philippians 3:13-14).

It doesn’t matter what happened last month or even yesterday. There is more in God’s plan for your life than you have seen or experienced. I dare say that you have only just begun. And the beautiful thing about your life is that God wants you to succeed more than you can ever imagine. That is why everything that you require to succeed in life is at your disposal through the Holy Spirit and all you need is yield to God.

The Bible says in Philippians 3:13, “Brothers and sisters, I do not consider myself yet to have taken hold of it. But one thing I do: Forgetting what is behind and straining toward what is ahead.”

Your past can keep you stuck if you allow it, especially if that past is filled with successes and testimonies. On the other hand, continuing to remember the wrong things you did in the past—things that God has already forgiven and forgotten—is even worse than paralysis. The enemy can use these memories to keep you from moving forward in God’s purpose for your life. The enemy feeds on bad memories, keeping you focused on the past until your strength is drained.

Hebrews 8:12 says, “For I will be merciful to their unrighteousness, and their sins and their lawless deeds I will remember no more.”

Saint, God has chosen to show you mercy. So stop holding on to what God has already forgiven. God has no record of what He has chosen to forget.

Another way the enemy tries to keep us stuck is through past successes. Remembering what you have accomplished can make you comfortable and eventually lead to pride. You may say, “I achieved this last year.” Those accomplishments are worth celebrating, and you should give God glory for them. But don’t allow yesterday’s success to stop you from pursuing what God has for you today.

Saint, God wants you to keep growing. And in this month of October, He is calling you to something greater than your past experiences. He is calling you to move UPWARD AND FORWARD.

He wants you to move from strength to strength and from glory to glory.

SO, STOP LOOKING BACK!

Proverbs 4:18 says, “But the path of the just is like the shining sun, that shines ever brighter unto the perfect day.”

Your path is getting brighter. There is more ahead of you this month. There is promotion for you this month.

So today, let the consciousness of moving UPWARD AND FORWARD fill your heart. Cast away the memories of the past and focus on what God is calling you to do now.

Never forget that you were born for such a time as this. And faithful is He who has called you. The Bible says He will do it through you.

So, LETS GO

FAITH-FILLED CONFESSION

I set my eyes on the upward call of God in Christ Jesus. I let go of the past and press forward into all that God has prepared for me. I am moving upward and forward, from strength to strength and from glory to glory. My path is getting brighter, and I walk in God’s purpose for my life. I move forward in faith, trusting the Faithful One who has called me. Hallelujah!
