"But He answered and said, "I was not sent except to the lost sheep of the house of Israel" (Matthew 15:24).
The kingdom of God is about ministering to the heart of Jesus. Therefore, everything we do for and in the name of Jesus must have, at its core, ministering to the heart of Jesus. Come to think about it, what do we have that we did not receive from God? So God is not impressed by anything we have but our partnership with the Holy Ghost in ministering to the heart of Jesus in winning souls for Christ.
You may ask, "Where do I start?" Jesus answered this question in Mark 16:15 when He said, "...Go into all the world and preach the Good News to everyone." To the sick and diseased, the good news is that Jesus heals. To the blind, the good news is the restoration of sight in Jesus' name. To the afflicted, the good news is that Jesus delivers. Everyone in your world has good news for them, and sharing it with them is how you minister to the heart of Jesus.
Sharing the good news of Jesus Christ does not mean you will always get an amenable response. Still, the commission remains, "Go into all the world and preach the gospel to everyone." This is an assignment to the city or community where you live. Your job is to find creative ways in your "world(s)" to spread the gospel.
Some have chosen not to engage in soul-winning because of a previous bad experience. This is exactly why the Bible says, "...do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God" (Romans 12:2). Past experiences may define how the people of the world do things, but past experiences should have no bearing on you or your involvement in soul-winning. Only the Holy Spirit and His Word should direct your actions. Therefore, your attitude should be, "If God said it, that settles it."
But Understand who you are, saint of God. You are a proof-producer; to produce proof, you need to be in constant touch with the Holy Spirit and His Word. Paul said, "Brethren, I do not count myself to have apprehended; but one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind and reaching forward to those things which are ahead, I press toward the goal for the prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus" (Philippians 3:13-14).
The most crucial aspect of your life should be your assignment from the most important person in your life--God. So, no matter what else you are doing, whether it is parenting or spiritual warfare, your primary focus should be on soul-winning. When you focus on soul-winning, you are assured of victories in the other aspects of your life without your conscious attention. Matthew 6:33 says, "... seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you."
Saints, the kingdom of God is all about soul-winning.
You are blessed.
Faith-Filled Confession
Soul winning is my primary assignment on earth; everything else is secondary. And as I prioritize soul-winning, success in every other important area that might have become a distraction to my number one priority is easily attainable in Jesus' name. Amen
Prayer Point
John 4:35 says, "Say not ye, There are yet four months, and then cometh harvest? behold, I say unto you, Lift up your eyes, and look on the fields; for they are white already to harvest."
2 Thessalonians 3:1, "Finally, brethren, pray for us, that the word of the Lord may have free course, and be glorified, even as it is with you."
Pray fervidly in tongues of the Spirit for souls. Call forth a harvest of souls into the Churches of Christ around the world.
Pray earnestly in tongues of the Spirit that the gospel of Christ may have free course in all nations.
