WHY WE ARE SO DIFFERENT: OUR INHERITANCE

05/13/2023

"For the promise to Abraham or to his descendants that he would be heir of the world was not through [observing the requirements of] the Law, but through the righteousness of faith." (Romans 4:13 AMP)

The believer in Christ is an inheritor of the whole world because he or she is a descendant of Abraham through the righteousness of faith.  The moment you got born again, the world became a part of your inheritance.  This is why no door can be legitimately shut against you on this planet.  Psalm 115:16 says, "The heaven, even the heavens, are the LORD's; But the earth He has given to the children of men..." the children of men referred to in this verse of scripture are not the general humanity, but to the seed of Abraham, of which you are a part.

In the realm of the spirit, your name is on the title deed of the owners of the earth.  Someone might ask, "So what do I do with this information?' To this, the will of God is already known.  You steward the earth and its populations.  Genesis 1:28 says, "Then God blessed them, and God said to them, "Be fruitful and multiply; fill the earth and subdue it; have dominion over the fish of the sea, over the birds of the air, and over every living thing that moves on the earth."

What does this mean?  In a sense, it means treating the earth and everything within it with a sense of ownership.  The only people who have this power and calling are the Church, which is why we ought to grow in the power and call of God on us quickly.  The Bible lets us know that "...the earnest expectation of the creation eagerly waits for the revealing of the sons of God." (Romans 8:19).  That's us.  And if we are going to differentiate ourselves from the rest of the world as the Lord has already done, then we must mature into taking responsibility for cities, plant and animal classes, the economic and political climate, and more through prayer and the Word of God.

The Bible says "that the heir, as long as he is a child, does not differ at all from a slave, though he is master of all" (Galatians 4:1).  This is why we are different.  The rest of humanity may slave under the rudiments of this world, the academic rudiments, the economic rudiments, and even the rudiments of socialization, but we are masters of all, if we set our eyes on the demands of our position of inheritance.

Refuse to settle for less.  Ask the Lord to open your eyes today in this regard and let the higher things of the Spirit come into your awareness.

Be blessed!

Faith-Filled Confession

I am the Seed of Abraham.  The blessing of the earth belongs to me.  I recognize my calling to stabilize the systems of the earth because by divine right I am one of its owners.  Therefore, I command the earth to yield to me her increase such that my work of propagating the gospel is advanced in Jesus' name.  Amen.
