UNTO THE LORD

2/10/2026

“Each of you should use whatever gift you have received to serve others, as faithful stewards of God’s grace in its various forms” (1 Peter 4:10 NIV).

Saints, serving those for whom Jesus died is not a burden; it is the highest honor of our lives. For this reason, we must never allow anything or anyone to talk us out of our responsibility to serve.

When Paul was departing Ephesus, he said to the leaders, “Take heed therefore unto yourselves, and to all the flock, over which the Holy Ghost hath made you overseers, to feed the church of God, which He hath purchased with His own blood.” Paul was emphasizing the sacred weight of serving God’s people. Jesus Himself confirmed this truth when He said, “As you did it to one of the least of these My brothers, you did it to Me” (Matthew 25:45). Serving people is serving Jesus—it is the heartbeat of the Father.

This selfless posture is what God desires from us. Mordecai reminded Esther of this truth when he said, “Who knows whether you have come to the kingdom for such a time as this?” (Esther 4:14). In essence, he was saying that positions, influence, and access are not given for self-preservation but for kingdom advancement. Doing nothing was not an option. Likewise, Jesus warned that God can raise others if we refuse to act (Matthew 3:9).

Saints, the gifts and grace God has given us were never meant for self-service. They were given so that others may experience God through us. Peter made this clear when he said we are stewards of God’s grace—not owners. And when we serve, our attitude matters. We are not doing people a favor. Colossians 3:23 instructs us to serve wholeheartedly, as unto the Lord and not unto men.

So the next time you are given an opportunity to serve, see the face of Jesus. Serve with joy. Serve with humility. Serve with excellence—because you are serving the Lord Himself.

God bless you.

Faith-Filled Confession:

Father, I thank You for giving me an excellent spirit with which I serve You and those around me. I serve wholeheartedly and without contempt. Your ability works in me, enabling me to fulfill Your purpose, in Jesus’ name, Amen.
