THE TRUTH AND PRIESTHOOD

12/31/2023

"…to open their eyes, in order to turn them from darkness to light, and from the power of Satan to God, that they may receive forgiveness of sins and an inheritance among those who are sanctified by faith in Me." (Acts 26:18)

You have probably never heard this before, but there aren't two kingdoms in the realm of the spirit. There is just one. Our enemy, Satan, at best, is a prince, and his principality, though in rebellion, is no match for the kingdom of our God. In a sense, his domain is a subdivision of God's kingdom, which is why the same principles of priesthood apply there as they do in our kingdom.

For too long, many in the Body of Christ have relegated their roles as priests unto God because of ignorance, and what this has allowed is a decimation of whole generations and societies of people. In Hosea 4:6, the Lord says, "My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge. Since you have rejected knowledge, I also will reject you from being My priest. Since you have forgotten the Law of your God, I also will forget your children."

The first role of the priest is to know—spiritually. Now, there has been a lie that there are many types of knowledge, and from this same frame, some have touted that there are many ways to God. This is not true. Knowledge is a continuum that terminates in truth, and truth is spiritual. In conversation with the Father about us, the Church, Jesus said, "Sanctify them by Your truth. Your word is truth."

I know that some believers like to argue with the Word of God using science or some other human body of knowledge, but in truth, though some of these bodies of knowledge contain truisms, they are simply layers away in the direction of the Word of God. For example, in geography, we learn that the earth rotates on an "imaginary axis" over a twenty-four-hour period. The truth we know, however, is that the Lord upholds "all things [including the earth] by the word of His power…" (according to Hebrews 1:3).

Therefore, what God says a thing is, is exactly what it is. He cannot lie. And as His priest, your first duty is to actively wait on Him for truth. You already have the infrastructure to obtain truth. 1 John 2:27 says, "…the anointing which you have received from Him abides in you, and you do not need that anyone teach you; but as the same anointing teaches you concerning all things, and is true, and is not a lie, and just as it has taught you, you will abide in Him." However, there are five ways to wait for truth, and in summary, these are meditation, prayer, bible study, direct importation, and an inward witness.

As a Christian, the only tool for launching an offensive against rebellious elements in our kingdom is the sovereign word of God, which is the truth. Every other tool in our armory is defensive maneuvers. Study Ephesians 6:11-18 and see that the Word of God is the only offensive weapon. Now, if you refuse to engage with the word of God as you ought through meditation, prayer, bible study, direct impartation, or the inward witness, the rebellious elements in your city will prosper. Now, in many parts of the world, including America, I see an armistice that exists between the Church and the principality of darkness. Jesus said, "…Occupy till I come." (Luke 19:13). The priesthood to enforce the will of our Master must now begin in a renewed devotion to the Word of God.

Only what our Lord says is what matters. Have a great day.

Faith-Filled Confession

What God says is final. I believe in God and wait for Him when His truth is not known. His word is the lamp unto my feet, and I navigate this requirement of my priesthood with humility and perseverance even as I am greatly helped by the Holy Ghost. Hallelujah!
