THE SPIRIT OF FAITH

"And since we have the same spirit of faith, according to what is written, "I believed and therefore I spoke," we also believe and therefore speak," (2 Corinthians 4:13)
Faith always speaks. What does faith speak? Faith speaks the Word of God. If there is no Word from the Lord that you are speaking, you are not operating by the God kind of faith.
Now, there are many kinds of faith. Some have faith in natural science, and the basis of their faith is logic. These are the ones who are sense-ruled. Their decisions are dependent on experiments, statistics, and proofs that are verifiable by the five senses. But those who live by this faith are cut off from the God-life. These are the people that the Bible says, "For if you live according to the flesh, you will die..." (Romans 8:13). The death referred to here is a separation from the God-kind of life. In essence, to live solely based on the senses is to live as a dead man or woman to God.
Go back to the theme scripture for a moment. It says, "...we have the same spirit of faith" (2 Corinthians 4:13), and this spirit of faith is responsible for a new dimension of living: believing and speaking the Word of God. Understand that this spirit of faith comes with the infrastructure for us to believe and speak things into being.
This is why you've got to spend as little time as possible with "fables" and more time with the Word of God because what you spend time with will become belief and speech. If you spend time with fables, you will believe fables and speak fables. Fables are reports that do not originate in or accord with the Word of God. This could include news reports, medical reports, financial statements, entertainment-based social media posts, and so on. Now, I didn't say not to engage with these materials, no. Sometimes, these reports can offer direction on how to intercede for others, but you can't dwell there.
The Bible says, "By faith we understand that the worlds were framed by the word of God, so that the things which are seen were not made of things which are visible" (Hebrews 11:3). The Word of God is the real substance from which the stuff you want and sometimes, stress yourself laboring for, was formed. And this is why you have got to speak the Word of God first.
In the closest rendering of Mark 11:22, the Bible accounts that "...Jesus answering, saith to them: Have the faith of God" (Douay Rheims Bible). In other words, Jesus announced a type of faith that God had and confirmed that it was possible to have this type of faith. Hallelujah. The Master went on to tell us how in Mark 11:23, which reads, "For assuredly, I say to you, whoever says to this mountain, 'Be removed and be cast into the sea,' and does not doubt in his heart, but believes that those things he says will be done, he will have whatever he says." Essentially, the faith of God says, and since you already have in you the technology to believe and speak, you are guaranteed to have what you say.
Now, if you have any expectations for this New Year, maybe you are expecting a little one, or you are planning to start a business, or you have exams, or you want to break into a new level of intercession, the God-thing-to-do would be to put together a few scriptures and start speaking them in daily confessions and during your times of private prayer.
Don't let another day pass without you speaking the Word of God concerning your expectations this year.
God bless you.
Faith-Filled Confession
I have the spirit of faith. Therefore, I believe and speak the Word of God with an assurance that I will have what I say. I declare that I am in the will of God for my life, and no day passes that I miss God in this Year of the God-kind. Hallelujah!
