THE PATH TO TRUE GREATNESS

3/10/2026

“And whoever wants to be first among you must be your servant.” — Matthew 20:27

In the world’s system, greatness is often measured by power, status, and how many people serve you. But in the Kingdom of God, Jesus introduced a completely different standard. He taught that true greatness is found in humility and service.

When the disciples were discussing positions of honor, Jesus reminded them that leadership in God’s Kingdom is not about being above others but about serving others. The one who desires to be first must first be willing to become a servant.

This principle reflects the very heart of Christ. Jesus, the Son of God, came not to be served but to serve and to give His life as a ransom for many. His life was the perfect example of sacrificial love and humility.

Serving others requires a heart that is free from pride and selfish ambition. It means putting the needs of others before our own, helping those around us, and demonstrating Christ’s love through our actions.

God sees every act of service, even the ones that go unnoticed by people. When we serve with a sincere heart, we reflect the character of Jesus and bring glory to God.

Today, choose the path of humility. Look for opportunities to serve others with love. In God’s Kingdom, the servant is the one who is truly great.

Faith-Filled Confession:

Father, thank You for the example of Jesus. I choose the path of humility and service. My heart is free from pride, and I gladly serve others with love. Through my life, the character of Christ is revealed, and God is glorified. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
