STAY PLANTED

“Those that be planted in the house of the LORD shall flourish in the courts of our God.” — Psalm 92:13
There is a difference between being planted and merely being present. To be planted is to be rooted, established, and committed to the place where God has positioned you. It means you do not abandon your assignment simply because challenges arise or opposition comes your way.
Consider David. Before he was anointed king over Israel, his life revolved around tending his father's sheep. But after Samuel anointed him, his journey took a different turn. The anointing that marked him for kingship also brought him into seasons of opposition, persecution, and rejection—even from people close to him.
David could have become discouraged and said, "Lord, I would rather return to my quiet life. Every time I step forward into Your purpose, I encounter another challenge!" But he did not allow opposition to make him abandon God's purpose for his life. He had already experienced God's faithfulness while tending the sheep, and he knew that the same God who delivered him from the lion and the bear would sustain him through every battle.
In the midst of opposition, David declared:
“The LORD is my light and my salvation; whom shall I fear? The LORD is the strength of my life; of whom shall I be afraid? When the wicked, even mine enemies and my foes, came upon me to eat up my flesh, they stumbled and fell. Though an host should encamp against me, my heart shall not fear: though war should rise against me, in this will I be confident. One thing have I desired of the LORD, that will I seek after; that I may dwell in the house of the LORD all the days of my life, to behold the beauty of the LORD, and to inquire in his temple.”(Psalm 27:1–4)
Notice David's confidence! He did not allow the presence of enemies to determine the condition of his heart. His confidence was in the Lord. Even when opposition surrounded him, he remained focused on the one thing he desired: to dwell in God's presence and behold His beauty.
David understood that his strength and security were found in the Lord. His circumstances did not change his confession. Rather than speaking from the pressure of the moment, he declared the reality of God's faithfulness.
This is an important lesson for us: Never allow the challenges surrounding you to disconnect you from the purpose God has placed before you.
Psalm 23:5 gives us another beautiful picture:
“Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of mine enemies: thou anointest my head with oil; my cup runneth over.”
David did not say God would wait until every enemy disappeared before preparing a table for him. The table was prepared even in their presence! In other words, opposition does not have the final say over what God is doing in your life.
So, what am I saying to you today? Do not abandon your place of purpose because of opposition. Do not allow rejection to make you question God's faithfulness. Remain rooted in His Word.
God bless you!
FAITH-FILLED CONFESSION
I am planted in the Lord, firmly rooted in His Word and established in His purpose for my life. I will not be moved by opposition, rejection, or adversity. My confidence is in the Lord, who is my light, my salvation, and the strength of my life. I flourish in every season because my source is God. All things are working together for my good, and no weapon formed against me shall prosper. Christ in me is my victory, and through His grace, I am empowered to fulfil God's purpose and display His glory. I am planted, I am flourishing, and I am moving forward! Hallelujah!
