STAGGER NOT

07/06/2023

"And not being weak in faith, he [Abraham] did not consider his own body, already dead (since he was about a hundred years old), and the deadness of Sarah's womb. He did not waver at the promise of God through unbelief, but was strengthened in faith, giving glory to God..." (Roman 4:19-20)

Once the will of God is known, the rest is execution. In such circumstances, there can be no room for excuses. The man or woman who has an excuse not to act after the will of God has been revealed is irresponsible and unbelieving.

The Bible says that after Abram had received the knowledge of God's will, as evidenced by his name change from Abram to Abraham in Genesis 17:5, he did not waver but was strong in faith, giving God glory. God said: "No longer shall your name be called Abram, but your name shall be Abraham; for I have made you a father of many nations." From that time on, he went by Abraham until Isaac was born. Imagine how many people he had to correct who previously knew him as Abram and how such people might have mocked or contradicted his insistence on being called "Abraham" despite the lack of physical evidence.

What has God called you to that He has yet to reveal to your spouse, co-workers, or family? Has he called you rich, strong, or fruitful despite the absence of sensory evidence? Stagger not! Call yourself what God has called you. Has he called a situation in your life resolved despite the glaring indications to the contrary? Stagger not! The Lord requires you to be unfazed and say what he has said about that situation.

Understand that people will contradict you and call you names for calling things in your life as God calls them, but it's okay. Hebrews 10:36 says, "For you have need of endurance, so that after you have done the will of God, you may receive the promise." Do not for one second consider that your proclamations in tandem with the will of God would not yield fruit because they will.

Hallelujah!

Faith-Filled Confession

I keep the switch of faith turned on. My confidence is in the known will of God alone. Therefore, I declare that I am healthy, strong, victorious, and excellent. I am the exception in everything that people consider to be natural courses because I am supernatural! Hallelujah!!!

One-Year Reading Plan: Job 31-32; Acts 13:1-23

Prayer Point

  1. Let's begin with thanksgiving and praise for the gift of life and the ministry of the Holy Spirit in us. Acknowledging all the benefits of our salvation; healing, victory, wisdom, promotion, favor, etc

  2. Pray that every pastor, partner, and resident is guided by the wisdom of God in their family, relationships, jobs, business ventures, and partnerships. Pray that they are constantly led by the Spirit of God and guided away from error and poor/bad decisions that may incur losses or adverse effects ( Isa 30:21; Isa 58:11, 1 Cor 1:30)

  3. Pray for our pastors that they remain unshakeable, unshaken, always abounding in the work of the Lord. Declare that they will continue to shine as light in the midst of the darkness in the world. (1 Cor 15:58, Philippians 2:13-14; Heb 6:10)

  4. Pray for those who have been inconsistent in their faith; that they be no longer children tossed to and fro and that Christ may be formed in their hearts as they are strengthened in those things that are most surely believed among us. (Lk 1:3, Eph 4:14)
