"But you, when you fast, anoint your head and wash your face, so that you do not appear to men to be fasting, but to your Father who is in the secret place; and your Father who sees in secret will reward you openly" (Matthew 6:17-18).
Christian spirituality is not lived outwardly. On the contrary, it is lived in quietness. It is lived in constant conversation with the Father in your heart. In John 14:10, Jesus said, "Do you not believe that I am in the Father and the Father in Me? The words that I speak to you I do not speak on My own authority, but the Father who dwells in Me does the works." In other words, Jesus was in constant touch with the Father in His heart.
Saints, the Christian life is an unhurried and quiet force that requires no validation from external parties. The Father is all that counts, and your constant acquaintanceship of Him is everything. Job 22:21 says, "Now acquaint yourself with Him, and be at peace; Thereby good will come to you." I urge that you learn to talk to the Father in you as you would your closest friend in private about anything and everything. Let your soul enjoy the intimacy that the Lord is calling us into in this season. External validation from others is not necessary.
Brothers and sisters, God has called us into rest. Avoid the lure to be a "Christian showman or showwoman." You don't need anyone's approval to be yourself except God's. Let Him speak to, sing to, and console your heart in quietness. The miracles you will experience in your family, finances, and business this month will come from these quiet times of refreshing with the Lord.
Yield to this call in this prophetic season and witness tremendous power. Let His word enter into you in quietness, pointing you in the way you should process. Isaiah 30:21 says, "Your ears shall hear a word behind you, saying, "This is the way, walk in it," Whenever you turn to the right hand Or whenever you turn to the left."
God bless you!
Faith-Filled Confession
I yield to the call of the Spirit to share intimate times together in the quietness of my heart. I hear to do the things I am instructed for great things are spoken of me as a result of my intimate times with the Lord. Hallelujah!
