"Those who do wickedly against the covenant he shall corrupt with flattery, but the people who know their God shall be strong, and carry out great exploits." (Daniel 11:32)
To achieve anything in this life, such as starting an enterprise, winning in your career and even raising a thriving family, strength is a requirement. Today's theme scripture is not a doctrine to encourage you to study your Bible, meditate, fast and pray, even though this is also the intended end result. Rather, Daniel 11:32 captures a principle to which we ought to pay serious attention.
It did not say they that know Jehovah or they that know Jesus. The principle is that those who know their God...shall be strong... and execute great exploits. Knowing your God is the difference between who wins in life and who is defeated. If those who serve a false god know that god more than you know the Lord Jesus, you are in trouble. This is why you must prioritize knowing God.
In the battle of the three kings of Judah, Israel and Edom against Moab, God had given them clarity, signs and wonders to back the word of His prophet Elisha that the allies would be victorious against Moab (Refer to 2 Kings 3:18). Yet the king of Moab knew his god, Chemosh more that the three kings knew Jehovah and in the end, Moab prevailed.
2 Kings 3:26-27 says, "And when the king of Moab saw that the battle was too fierce for him, he took with him seven hundred men who drew swords, to break through to the king of Edom, but they could not. Then he took his eldest son who would have reigned in his place, and offered him as a burnt offering upon the wall; and there was great indignation against Israel. So they departed from him and returned to their own land." The king of Moab knew his god enough to sacrifice his heir and his knowledge upended Jehovah's will such that in this realm, it seemed that Chemosh prevailed over Jehovah. But understand that God's will in heaven may not always manifest on earth without a knowledgeable priesthood.
This is why you must know God for yourself. And we primarily know God through His Word. Hear me, you have got to study, meditate and confess God's Word every day as a process of knowing God. The other way you build your knowledge of God is experiential, in fellowship with Him as you minister to Him by speaking in tongues. Here, you are not just praying about your desires but you are praying the Rhema word that God speaks in your heart. It is a conversation wherein you aren't praying your prayer points but the prayer points of God that He puts in your heart to pray.
Saint, prioritize knowing your God from the Bible and experimentally in fellowship with Him and watch HIs strength revealed through you.
God bless you.
