"When the LORD turned again the captivity of Zion, we were like them that dream. Then was our mouth filled with laughter, and our tongue with singing: then said they among the heathen, the LORD hath done great things for them. The LORD hath done great things for us; whereof we are glad." (Psalm 126:1-3).
God will turn this around. Acts 16:26 says, "...suddenly there was a great earthquake so that the foundations of the prison were shaken: and immediately all the doors were opened, and every one's bands were loosed." For Peter in Acts 12:7, "...behold, an angel of the Lord stood by him, and a light shone in the prison; and he struck Peter on the side and raised him up, saying, "Arise quickly!" And his chains fell off his hands." Yours may not be an earthquake or an angel standing by you, but this God intervention is sure to turn things for your good.
Psalm 35:27 says, "Let them shout for joy and rejoice, who favor my vindication and want what is right for me; Let them say continually, "Let the LORD be magnified, who delights and takes pleasure in the prosperity of His servant." In other words, God is pleased to see things work for your good. And every time it doesn't appear that way, He goes out of His way to see that you are everything He created you to be. Psalm 126:1-3 says, "When the LORD turned again the captivity of Zion, we were like them that dream. Then was our mouth filled with laughter, and our tongue with singing: then said they among the heathen, the LORD hath done great things for them. The LORD hath done great things for us; whereof we are glad." The expression "When the LORD turned again the captivity of Zion" lets us know that this wasn't the first time Zion was in this situation. But God's faithfulness always abounded. Not only did God show up each time to bring them out, but again and again, He exceeded in His grace, mercy, kindness, and love.
Child of God, don't expect your situation to be any different even if you think you deserve it. You may say, "God told me to pray, and I didn't; now look at where I am. If only I had done what God told me." You need to stop it if you are saying such words because it is self-righteousness and doesn't please God. That's just like Peter, who denied Jesus three times after Jesus had told him that he would deny Him. Peter was determined, like many of us, that what Jesus said would not happen. But when it did, the Bible said Jesus looked at Peter not with the look of "I told you so" but with love and mercy. Jesus expressed to Peter that he was still in God's plan. Yes, Peter messed up, but God's plan for his life was still good.
So no matter your circumstance today, there is a turning around for you in Jesus' name! Just like Zion, the Bible says, "Then was our mouth filled with laughter, and our tongue with singing...." I see you laughing and singing with joy. I see you rejoicing in Jesus name. I see you testifying of a thunderous testimony in Jesus name.
Faith-Filled Confession:
God delights in my wellbeing and has lined up everything for my prosperity. Therefore, I refuse to dwell on the mistakes of the past. I choose to think upon whatever is true, noble, right, pure, lovely, admirable, excellent, and praiseworthy.
