IT’S ALREADY YOURS

“You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies. You anoint my head with oil; my cup overflows” (Psalm 23:5).
There is a spiritual consciousness that rises in your spirit when you give yourself wholly to the Word of God. Over the years of ministering by the Spirit, I have learned that without the consciousness of the Word, the anointing to minister cannot be fully activated. This happens when you become Word-minded—when every sight, sound, and thought is filtered through the Word.
This applies to every believer. You are a minister of the New Testament, a living testimony of Christ to the world. Your life is an open letter, “known and read by all men.” As 1 Peter 2:9 declares, “…you are a chosen race, a royal priesthood, a consecrated nation, a [special] people for God’s own possession, so that you may proclaim the excellencies [the wonderful deeds and virtues and perfections] of Him who called you out of darkness into His marvelous light.” The essence of salvation is that you proclaim, announce, and manifest the excellencies of God. What a calling!
This consciousness, when expressed boldly, activates the anointing. David had it—no wonder he was a success with both God and men. In Psalm 23:1 (MSG), he declared: “God, my shepherd! I don’t need a thing.” This wasn’t a borrowed quote or a casual remark. It was the result of the Word dominating his thoughts until his speech only reflected God’s greatness.
As long as you are need-conscious, you will never fully walk in your prosperity and abundance in Christ. God doesn’t see you as needy—He sees you through the finished work of Jesus. The world once needed a Savior; now the Savior has come, paid in full, and secured the victory. With God as your Shepherd, how could there be lack? His very presence removes the consciousness of need.
A “give me, give me” mentality will keep you from manifesting the greater glory. See yourself through God’s eyes. Let the Word be your mirror. Speak like David: “The Lord is my Shepherd! I don’t need a thing.” That’s not pride—it’s divine consciousness in action.
When others feared the adversary, David declared, “You prepare a banquet for me while my enemies watch. You anoint my head with oil. My cup overflows.” The presence of the enemy was irrelevant; it could not stop him. Likewise, your victory and every blessing of grace are already yours.
Faith-Filled Confession:
Today, I refuse a “give me” mentality. I walk in the consciousness of heaven’s treasure that belongs to me in Christ. I thank You, Lord, for giving me all things richly to enjoy. I walk in divine health, wealth, and unending favor. Everywhere I go, goodness follows me—in Jesus’ Name! Hallelujah!
