"Jesus said to them again, "Peace be with you. As the Father has sent me, even so I am sending you" (John 20:21).
The extent to which Christ's victory is unveiled in your world is shaped by your comprehension of what Jesus has accomplished and the depth of your connection to it. For instance, Jesus proclaimed in John 14:12, "Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me, the works that I do shall he do also; and greater works than these shall he do; because I go unto my Father." This implies that Jesus expects us to operate in His place. When He walked the earth, He embodied the roles of a doer, healer, blesser, lifter, and light—the living expression of the Father's character. He was not characterized by brokenness, sickness, hopelessness, misery, or drama. He was the God-man in the earthly realm because of the life and the presence of the Holy Ghost in Him and with Him.
Therefore, as you delve into scripture, it is crucial to approach it with an understanding of your role in this world. You must relate to the person and ministry of Jesus, recognizing yourself as one sent by the same anointing that rested upon Jesus rather than identifying solely with those who sought to receive from His anointing. When the Church sees herself as afflicted—bearing the issues of blood, blindness, sickness, misery, and rejection—instead of identifying with Jesus, who holds the solutions to these problems, the manifestation of the glory that God expects in the earth is hindered.
When Jesus declared in John 20:21, "... Peace be with you. As the Father has sent me, even so I am sending you," He envisioned that you and I would be a fervent force in the world, igniting a blaze that consumes every trace of unrighteousness and brings illumination to those dwelling in darkness. He did not anticipate that we would operate at a lower level than He. For one, we are anointed with the same Holy Ghost as He was, and nothing we possess today is inferior.
Listen, dear saint, you have been anointed to receive answers to every prayer. There is absolutely nothing in this world that you lack. You are not the one seeking deliverance; you are the deliverer. You are the one commissioned to lay hands on the sick and expel every form of sickness from others, not the one seeking help from the devil. Jesus healed you so that you can bring healing to others. As emphasized in Mark 2:17, "...it is not the healthy who need a doctor, but the sick." However, what good is it when those meant to heal the sick are themselves sick? Our generation is unlikely to seek guidance from a sick physician; they are too discerning for that. Therefore, as the Church of Jesus, it is high time we awakened to our ministry and asserted authority over anything that obscures our testimony in Christ Jesus.
Now is the moment to confront every symptom with the understanding that they are unwelcome and illegitimate, using the name of Jesus to dispel them. Only then can we confidently wield the name of Jesus when dealing with others who may be in darkness and oppressed by the devil.
Acts 10:38 declares, "How God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Ghost and with power: who went about doing good, and healing all that were oppressed of the devil; for God was with him."
Saints, recognize that this same anointing is what you and I have received. Therefore, it's time to awaken and stand with Jesus. Envision yourself in the position of Jesus today. You are not the sick or the impoverished; you are God's healed creation. Step out of the confines of religious passivity and embrace the calling upon your life. Cease seeking excuses for ineffectiveness in the divine life. Embrace your destiny and confidently wield the authority bestowed upon you by Jesus. Your generation can't afford for someone like you to be lukewarm. Fully embrace the anointing within you and become a dynamic force for good in the world. Stand with Jesus today and refuse to settle for mere religious routine.
God bless you!
