GROW IN THE GRACE OF THE LORD JESUS

8/2/2025

“But grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.”—2 Peter 3:18 (ESV)

Success is never accidental, and neither is failure. Both are outcomes—results tied to principles we either apply or ignore. When God spoke to Joshua, He laid down a clear pattern for success:“This Book of the Law shall not depart from your mouth, but you shall meditate on it day and night, so that you may be careful to do according to all that is written in it. For then you will make your way prosperous, and then you will have good success” (Joshua 1:8).God explicitly connected prosperity and good success to consistent meditation and obedience to His Word. In other words, success isn’t magic—it’s the fruit of Word-based living. Hallelujah!

In 2 Peter 3:18, we are commanded to “grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.” This wasn’t a random closing remark. In the verse just before it (v.17), Peter warned the Church about being led astray by the deception of wicked men and falling from steadfastness. So, the call to grow is not a suggestion—it’s a safeguard, a necessity. If you desire sustained spiritual progress, consistent advancement, and a life of divine impact, then you must grow in grace and knowledge.

Let’s be clear—this isn’t just about any kind of knowledge. The world has its own wisdom, but we’re told to grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ. That is, the kind of knowledge that produces godly results and leads to a life empowered by the Spirit.

Grace is not merely unmerited favor. Grace is divine supply. It is Heaven’s resource made available to meet every need and overcome every challenge. Grace is the answer to insufficiency, weakness, delay, stagnation, and all forms of limitation. But here’s the key: grace doesn’t multiply automatically. It increases through knowledge.“Grace and peace be multiplied to you in the knowledge of God and of Jesus our Lord” (2 Peter 1:2).The more you grow in the revealed knowledge of Christ, the more grace is multiplied to you—and the more progress becomes visible in your life.

Look at Isaac in Genesis 26:13:“The man became rich, and continued to prosper until he became very wealthy.”This was no coincidence. Isaac obeyed God’s instruction and stayed where God planted him—even during a famine. His progress was the outcome of divine direction and applied obedience.

The Holy Spirit is still giving us instructions today—through the Word. But to enjoy the full supply of grace for this season, you must go after knowledge. You must pursue a deeper revelation of Jesus. That revelation is found in the Word. And the more you give yourself to the Word, the more grace will be activated in your life—and the more unstoppable your progress becomes.

Do not downplay church gatherings where the Word is being taught. You cannot overdose on the Word, and there’s no such thing as knowing God too much. The more you increase in the knowledge of Christ, the more progress you will see—not just spiritually, but in every area of your life.

So if you don’t want to place a ceiling on your progress, refuse to place a limit on your pursuit of the knowledge of Christ. Let the knowledge of the Son of God gain mastery over your thinking, your decisions, and your daily life. As you grow in grace, your life will be a clear expression of divine advancement.

God Bless You!

Faith-Filled Confession:

Father, in the name of Jesus, I receive the unction to make unstoppable progress. As I give myself to Your Word, I declare that I am advancing on every side. I prosper in my home, in my health, in my finances, in my relationships, and in my calling. Thank You, Lord, for choosing to display Your greatness through me. Your goodness is not hidden in my life—it is evident to all! I am a walking wonder, a testimony of grace, and the latest translation of the gospel. I praise You for it. Hallelujah!
