GOD IS YOUR ADVANTAGE

07/24/2023

"Do not be wise in your own eyes; fear the Lord and turn away from evil" (Proverbs 3:7).

It's exciting to know that God remains a constant help, an overwhelming force of righteousness at work in us, even in the worst of circumstances. Psalm 46:1-3 says, "God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble. Therefore we will not fear, though the earth should change. And though the mountains slip into the heart of the sea; though its waters roar and foam, though the mountains quake at its swelling pride." Praise God! In verse eleven of the same chapter, the Psalmist wrote, "The Lord of hosts is with us; the God of Jacob is our stronghold." Hallelujah!

Say this with me, "The Lord of Host is with me; I will not fear what man can do to me. I will not be moved by the contradictions that may come my way. I am confident that He who has begun a good work in me will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus. Since God doesn't fail, the work that He is doing in me will not fail."

Child of God, you are never alone; so, do not be discouraged. Even when it feels as though you are alone, you are never alone. When it appears as though nothing is changing, be assured of the Father's love for you; be assured of His presence with you. Have no fear. Have no anxiety. He who has begun a good work in you will surely complete it (Philippians 1:6).

Peter said, "Your life is a journey you must travel with a deep consciousness of God. It cost God plenty to get you out of that dead-end, empty-headed life you grew up in" (1 Peter 1:18 MSG). In other words, your walk with God is a process and not an act. And in this process, you are to maintain a deep awareness that God loves you and that He will not leave you hanging all by yourself. It doesn't matter if you think your mistakes have brought you to where you are right now. Even if that were the case, it is God who has created a path of escape. Do you not see the hand of God? Child of God, open your eyes, and you will see His mighty hand upon your life.

I urge you to trust God in spite of your current predicament. Even when you do not understand His workings, choose to trust Him. He is present in you and with you. Trust His grace when things make no sense. Proverbs 3:5-7 says, "Trust in the Lord with all your heart and do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways, acknowledge Him, and He will make your paths straight. Do not be wise in your own eyes; fear the Lord and turn away from evil."

Child of God, listening to God, and trusting Him is to your advantage. It may be hard temporarily, but it will move you to the next season of your life in Christ if you persevere.

God bless you!

Faith-Filled Confession:

The Lord of Host is with me; I will not fear what man can do to me. I will not be moved by the contradictions that may come my way. I am confident that He who has begun a good work in me will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus.

ONE-YEAR BIBLE READING PLAN: Psalm 38-40; Acts 23:12-35

Prayer Point for Today

Pray for pastors, partners, and residents, that they remain unshakeable, unshaken, always abounding in the work of the Lord. Declare that they will continue to shine as light in the midst of the darkness in the world. (1 Cor 15:58, Philippians 2:13-14; Heb 6:10)

Pray also and intercede for Christians who have lost their way, who have strayed from the truth, from the church, from the fellowship of other believe. Break off satan's influence and deception from their minds and declare that they are restored and walk in the light truth.
