“So then, let us pursue what leads to peace and to mutual edification” (Romans 14:19)
I hear the Lord say, “FIGHT” Now, you may wonder why do I have to fight when Jesus already won the battle? Yes, Jesus won the battle and gave us the victory. However, we have an adversary who is hell-bent on seeing that we do not experience the victory that is rightfully ours. And our responsibility is to resist him in faith. The Bible calls this fight the fight of faith. It is a fight where we enforce the reality of Christ's victory over every adverse and rebellious circumstance. In this fight, we refuse to give in to the demands of the devil. We refuse to fall for his tricks of offense, bitterness, and jealousy. In this fight, our faith says, I will be true to who I am regardless of how I feel or what I hear.
Right now, you have momentum to exceed your previous success and progress and the devil does not like it. Now, his goal is to get you out of alignment by getting you to function by the senses. Galatians 5:25 says, "Since we are living by the Spirit, let us follow the Spirit’s leading in every part of our lives." So today, do not take a break from the Spirit to function in the senses. Not even for a moment. You may not see the fullness of all that the Lord is doing right now but stay in the Word. Things may look like they have worsened, still, stay in the Word. Exalt the Word of God above everything else.
Someone may ask, "For how long do I need to fight this fight of faith?" I say to you, fight till your last breath. Hebrews 12:4 says, “You have not yet resisted to the point of shedding blood in your striving against sin.” That is to say, we must maintain our position of victory at every cost. because we are not ignorant of the devices of the enemy. He lies in wait for the opportunity to wreak havoc. His biggest strategy is to get you to operate in strife and offense. But refuse his invitation. Romans 14:19, “So then, let us pursue what leads to peace and to mutual edification” The Word pursue in the Greek literally means to run swiftly in order to catch something. Say this with me: “I choose peace over strife and offense. In Jesus Name! I give up my right to be right. I live in the shalom of God every day. Hallelujah! “
Praise God!
