“Do not extinguish the Spirit.” (1 Thessalonians 5:19)
There are certain things that ought to flow out of us effortlessly. Chief among these are the grace and love of Christ. God's grace and love should not be rare luxuries to those around us; they should be abundant and overflowing.
Considering all that God has given us in the person of the Holy Spirit, those around us ought to be shielded from oppression, depression, and every form of bondage. They should experience the blessedness of the Spirit simply through their association with us. Our lives as God’s people should never be void of consistent demonstrations and manifestations of the supernatural. If they are, it is a sign that our submission to God’s will needs to be questioned—because it is impossible to truly bring oneself under His will and not experience His increase and power.
I don’t know about you, but my spirit is done with empty religion. It’s time for God’s people to produce the supernatural credentials we received at salvation. It’s time for our communities to see Jesus alive and active through us! The days of mere talk without power are over. It is time for manifestation!
Jesus said: “These signs will accompany those who have believed: in My name they will cast out demons, they will speak with new tongues; they will pick up serpents, and if they drink any deadly poison, it will not hurt them; they will lay hands on the sick, and they will recover.” (Mark 16:17–18)
This anointing has been given to us to confirm, validate, and authenticate the divine life at work within us.
Paul had this same stirring when he exhorted the church at Philippi to produce visible proofs of the divine life within them (Philippians 2:12). In verse 13 (AMP), he says: “For it is [not your strength, but it is] God who is effectively at work in you, both to will and to work [that is, strengthening, energizing, and creating in you the longing and the ability to fulfill your purpose] for His good pleasure.”
In other words, you have been called to fully demonstrate everything God has put inside you. It’s time to shine and burst forth with His glory! But to do this, you must consistently yield to the in-working power of the Holy Spirit.
You may ask, “How do I yield to this power so I can consistently demonstrate the divine life?” The answer is simple: The Word.
When you yield to the demands of the Word—especially the call to walk in love—you are yielding to the power within you.
You must no longer hesitate when responding to the gentle prompting of the Holy Spirit. This divine courting is so you can continually express the love and grace of Jesus through tangible, verifiable manifestations of His power.
I urge you today: speedily put away anything that hinders your ability to yield to the Holy Spirit. Surround yourself with faith-filled materials and environments that make you more sensitive and responsive to His move.
Child of God, your family needs you to submit to the Spirit. Your community needs it. This is God’s will for your life.
You are blessed.
Faith-Filled Confession:
The same Spirit that raised Jesus Christ from the dead dwells in me. That same Spirit has quickened my mind and rejuvenated my body. Because of the indwelling presence of the Spirit, I carry an aura of the miraculous everywhere I go.
