"Blessed is the man who trusts in the LORD And whose trust is the LORD. “For he will be like a tree planted by the water, that extends its roots by a stream And will not fear when the heat comes; But its leaves will be green, and it will not be anxious in a year of drought Nor cease to yield fruit” (Jeremiah 17:7-8).
Prosperity is not the possession of material things. It’s a Word life; a lifestyle that accentuates the reality of Christ’s triumphant conquest over sickness, lack and want. It's a lifestyle that amplifiers and enforces the testimony of Jesus over the government of hell and the economy of this world. You may have heard this: “Let’s get real with the fact; you are broke, own up to it.” As a child of God, our confession of prosperity is based entirely on what the Word has said. It is not because we are well connected to people of influence. Neither is it because we own vast investments and real estates in some of the most expensive zip codes in the world (which we do). Our prosperity is purely divine; the economic conditions of this world do no impact it in anyway. So when we confess that we are prosperous, it’s a declaration of REALITY. Our confessions are not to make us rich. Rather, because we are rich, by our confessions, we simply state the obvious. To connect your prosperity to a job or anything earthly is to frustrate the grace of God and shortchange the ministry of prosperity angels in your life.
“Thus says the LORD, cursed is the man who trusts in mankind and makes flesh his strength, and whose heart turns away from the LORD. For he will be like a bush in the desert and will not see when prosperity comes, but will live in stony wastes in the wilderness, a land of salt without inhabitant. Blessed is the man who trusts in the LORD And whose trust is the LORD. For he will be like a tree planted by the water, that extends its roots by a stream and will not fear when the heat comes; but its leaves will be green, and it will not be anxious in a year of drought nor cease to yield fruit (Jeremiah 17:5-8). This scripture paints a picture of two individuals; one who connected their prosperity to a job or earthly things and the other who connected their prosperity to God’s Word.
For this reason, I have repeatedly said that having an unshakable attitude towards the Word of God is a non-negotiable; especially on the subject of prosperity. The picture of the individual who connected his prosperity to a job, investment and other earthly things is the picture of many in the church today. Consequently, we see many Christians living in lack and having barely enough. I want you to ask yourself this question: “Do I trust God or my pay check to pay my bills?” If your answer is God, then you should not hold back when it comes to giving as a lifestyle. If you would root your prosperity in the Word, your increase would be unstoppable even in the year of drought.
Listen, prosperity is who you are. You can’t shy away from it. A fellow once said “I don’t want people to know that I am rich.” Sorry brother, it’s not your decision but God’s. He wrote a note for the whole world to see. And in that note, it emphatically states that you are NOT BROKE BUT RICH (2 Corinthians 8:9). It’s like saying, “I don’t want people to know that I am born again.” Jesus said in Matthew 10:33, “Whoever denies me before men, I also will deny before my Father who is in heaven.” So Papa God does not want you to be quiet about your prosperity. He wants you to live in such a way that others would take note of His blessing in your life. He has given you a robe of prosperity, wear it well.
God Bless You!
Faith Filled Confession:
My prosperity is in the Word of God. I refuse to trust in the arm of flesh. My dependency and reliance is completely on God. He is my source and my supply. Therefore, I always have more than enough; regardless of the need or want. I am sufficient in Christ’s sufficiency; having more than enough for every good work. In Jesus name. Amen.
