"Now concerning spiritual gifts, brethren, I do not want you to be ignorant…" (1 Corinthians 12:1)
The Christian life entails a lot that is not visible to your optical eyes. And sometimes, these things are not visible because your faith is the best way to interact with these invisible phenomena. Just so you know, the physical is underpinned by the spiritual. Hebrews 11:3 says, "By faith we understand that the worlds were framed by the word of God, so that the things which are seen were not made of things which are visible." In other words, the raw materials from which everything you can see come from are not visible.
That said, the assembly of believers together is a conclave of miracles. What augurs when two or more believers come together is akin to a session of Congress or Parliament, which is why you ought to come to a meeting prepared to give and receive of the Spirit.
For starters, the Bible says, "For where two or three are gathered together in My name, I am there in the midst of them" (Matthew 18:20). This means that if Jesus is present at a meeting of believers, anything is possible. As a matter of fact, you should see attending meetings with other believers as a weapon against the enemy's agenda in your life. But too many believers are despondent about what is possible in a meeting of believers.
Understand that when we meet, maybe in our morning prayer meetings or weekly services, miracles, ordinations and spiritual legislations are the outcomes. 1 Corinthians 14:26 NIV paints the distinct picture of how our meetings look like. It says, "What then shall we say, brothers and sisters? When you come together, each of you has a hymn, or a word of instruction, a revelation, a tongue, or an interpretation. Everything must be done so that the Church may be built up."
If you would come to meetings from now on with a sense that anything is possible, you would be shocked at how the Spirit of God would move in our midst. Every meeting of believers is designed to move you forward, but if you come absent-minded of its purpose, then, a lot is left behind when we conclude.
The Church was inaugurated in a meeting (See Acts 2:1). Paul and Barnabas were elevated ministerially to Apostles in a meeting. Acts 13:1-2 says, "Now in the Church that was at Antioch there were certain prophets and teachers: Barnabas, Simeon who was called Niger, Lucius of Cyrene, Manaen who had been brought up with Herod the tetrarch, and Saul. As they ministered to the Lord and fasted, the Holy Spirit said, "Now separate to Me Barnabas and Saul for the work to which I have called them."
Even you came to Christ, directly or indirectly, via a meeting of believers. This is why meetings with other believers to prosecute God's agenda should never be approached trivially. We are all products of meetings, and the Lord would not have you ignorant about the potency of gathering together.
Have a great day!
Faith-Filled Confession
I recognize meetings with other believers to be conclaves of miracles. Therefore, I am not slothful with my attendance. Every meeting with other believers is my opportunity to legislate destiny. And I am prompt to seize the occasions with my spirit. In Jesus' name. Amen
Prayer Point:
Pray that more and more people will adopt our Church as their home church. Pray that they will be planted and flourish in the house of God.
Declare that signs and wonders will be a common phenomenon in the lives of those who are members of our Church, and through them, the message will spread until the knowledge of the Glory of our God covers the earth as the water covers the sea. Habakkuk 2:14 – For the earth shall be filled with the knowledge of the glory of the Lord, as the waters cover the sea.
