A GOD KIND

1/1/2024

"He got up, rebuked the wind, and said to the waves, "Quiet! Be still!" Then the wind died down and it was completely calm" (Mark 4:39).

There is a transformative way of life that accompanies your salvation—a life defined by the Word. This lifestyle necessitates that you navigate existence through the lens of the Word. In a recent conversation, I encountered someone who grew increasingly frustrated as he attempted to convey the severity of his struggles. The challenge lay in my perspective; I viewed him through the prism of the Word, not perceiving the gravity of the issues he claimed to face.

Throughout our conversation, my focus remained anchored in 1 John 4:4, "You are from God, little children, and have overcome them; because greater is He who is in you than he who is in the world." Adhering to the biblical principle of "let God be true and every man a liar," I consciously aligned myself with the Word, siding with God in addressing his predicament. While acknowledging the legitimacy of his challenges, I steadfastly clung to the belief that the key to his victory lay in the transformative power of the Word. I was resolute in my conviction that if I could guide him to perceive himself in alignment with the Word, he would not only overcome his immediate struggles but also discover the path to living in perpetual triumph through Christ Jesus—a triumph that was inherently his. The gravity of his situation did not escape me, but I recognized that the solution held greater significance than the problem itself. I understood that the gospel, as the power of God unto salvation, had the potential to not only dispel his challenges but also empower him to manifest the victorious life promised in the Word.

As a Christian, it is crucial to grasp that the kingdom of God operates on a principle that excludes the notion of handouts. Every individual born into this kingdom is designated a king and a joint heir with Christ, eradicating the concept of beggars within its realm. Our existence is marked by profound prosperity, showcasing the wealth inherent in the kingdom. This revelation of abundance is exemplified in David's declaration, "GOD, my shepherd! I don't need a thing" (Psalm 23:1 MSG).

Paul further reinforces this truth in 1 Corinthians 3:22-23, stating, "Whether things present, or things to come; all are yours; And ye are Christ's; and Christ is God's." Embracing these words in the core of your being makes it inconceivable to experience lack or wear the countenance of a victim. It becomes impossible to orchestrate a pity party when you are rooted in the understanding of the grace bestowed upon you by our Lord Jesus Christ. His deliberate choice to become poor for your sake opens the door to live in prosperity each day.

In essence, as a child of God, there exists a distinct way of life. Living and walking in the light of God's Word inevitably leads to the manifestation of its promises in your life. The profound truth is that you are destined for a life of perpetual abundance and prosperity within the kingdom.

Consider Jesus as a prime example; he possessed a profound awareness of his identity and the authority bestowed upon him to rule over the world. When faced with a tumultuous sea, his composure remained unshaken. Scripture recounts, "...he was in the hinder part of the ship, asleep on a pillow." Meanwhile, the disciples, gripped by fear and echoing the despair prevalent in the world during calamity, cried out, "...Master, carest thou not that we perish?" In response, Jesus arose, rebuked the wind, and commanded the waves, "Quiet! Be still!" Instantly, the wind abated, and a perfect calm ensued (Mark 4:39). Hallelujah!

At this point, the disciples were seized with overwhelming fear and queried one another, "What manner of man is this, that even the wind and the sea obey him?" If I had been present that day, my response to the disciples would have been unequivocal: "He is of the God kind." This God-kind possesses the ability to thwart calamities, and the source of this power lies in the Word of God on their lips. As a child of God, you are of the God kind—an offspring of divinity, loaded with the ability to quell any storm. You wield authority in the name of Jesus to shut the door on lack, confusion, sickness, and disappointments while ushering in doors of favor, increase, and prosperity.

In challenging times, refrain from panicking or succumbing to fear when circumstances seem contrary to the Word. Instead, introspect your spirit, releasing the living Word, speaking in tongues, and letting gratitude fill your words. Embrace the God-kind ability within you to navigate through life's storms with confidence and authority.

Faith-Filled Confession:

I exude the glory and beauty of a life perfectly shaped by God. I am a radiant manifestation of God's perfection, offering the world irrefutable evidence of Christ's triumphant victory over sin, sickness, hell, and death. Firm in my identity, I declare with gratitude, "I know who I am. Praise God!"
